GDC Money Clip

I picked up this money clip on a whim with a gift card a friend had given me. Since it arrived, it has not left my pocket. Pros: - Knife is sharp, and stays sharp with repeated use - Looks great - Firmly holds cards/cash as a good money clip should - Knife will sharpen easily, if needed - Conceals well when needed. You can take this into a football stadium without it being confiscated or being given a second look. Cons: - The clip can hold a max of maybe 5-6 cards before it pushes against the knife retaining lock. After that, you cannot remove the knife - The blade has maybe 1-2 good control services on it, and then the loop ring at the end. As a result, you'll most likely use this blade for basic utility cutting and little else. I rely on my Gerber Contrast for anything more complicated than cutting open a package. All told, I would definitely buy another if mine broke. Worth the price of admission, IMO.

This is a must for money clip; my first one lasted nearly 9yrs. Solid product. Further, keeps everything flattened, no pocket sticking out etc…

First of all, know what you are getting into with this. It’s an EDC gizmo for those of us who are into that. It’s not the best money clip. It’s not the best knife. That’s ok. The construction is sturdy. It looks cool. I don’t always carry cash, and my usual minimalist wallet doesn’t have a great storage option for it, so I got this to throw in my pocket with a few bills when needed. It works great for that. Do not overfill the money clip, or the blade gets difficult to remove, otherwise it is very easy to get to. Having an extra blade is never a bad idea, but this knife is very much a light-use backup option.

As described.

Most of my adult life I have carried some kind of pocket knife. A pocket knife and a flashlight are two things that can make your everyday life so much easier and having one of each makes me better prepared at all times. When I need to open a package or cut a string or plastic tie, I want to be able to grab a sharp blade, use it, and put it away securely. Often I will already have my hands full at the time, so one-handed operation is important. I bought this money clip knife intending to use it for it's intended purpose, but soon discovered a variation that works much better for me. Instead of using it as a money clip, I use the clip to attach the kinife to my pants pocket. With the clip on the outside, the knife part is secure inside my pocket. I can access the knife by slipping my thumb inside the pocket, release the blade and remove it in one easy motion. The clip and the rest of the case stay in place. Replacing the blade after use is relatively easy also, though a little bit of practice makes that process go smoother. For putting the knife away, the blade needs to be lined up just right with the case. One important point needs to be stressed here: THIS IS NOT A SELF-DEFENCE KNIFE. I read some comments and questions here from people fantisizing about using this blade against attackers or to defend themselves. DON'T even think about it! It's not that kind of knife and it would never work for that. This knife will stay handy and secure in my pocket. When I need it, it is easy to withdraw and them put safely away. The blade was very sharp right out of the box but it stays put until I need it.

To start, I love the form factor, always having a small knife available, and the fidget factor of the ring on the end. However, when I received it, the package had been cut open in a couple spots. On removal, everything seemed to be in place, so maybe just open box? On the down side, the blade was super dull out of the package, which is unusual compared to the 4 or 5 knives I’ve purchased this last year. I ran it through the WorkSharp, but wasn’t able to test right away. When I later tried to slice paper, no luck! Back to the sharpener!! We’ll see how it holds an edge once I get it in shape. Finally, regarding the credit card capacity, when I tried about 4 cards and 3 bills, I couldn’t get the knife to release. Had to pare down to 1 card, my ID and a thin insurance card with the cash in the bottom. Works for now, but I’ll have to switch out when I travel to carry everything else.

Works great! As described.

So, as far as using as a money clip goes, it's not the best unless you only carry an id and a couple bucks - it's too tight. However, it's a great little knife to carry in your jeans coin pocket. I wear jeans almost every day, and I would usually carry a folding knife clipped to the inside of my pocket. Problem was that after a while, the knife clip would start to fray my jean pocket. This little knife is perfect. It fits I the coin pocket in my jeans. Stays put no matter what. Easy to remove from sheath when needed. A little tricky to get back in at first, but not once you try it out a few times. Hint- push the spring clip towards the rest of the sheath with the blade when inserting. The plastic emblem keeps the blade from getting scratched up. My favorite part is that it's not in the way whenever I reach in my pocket for my wallet or keys. Overall, I would recommend this knife.

Not a real practical item blade doesn't fit real good in hand

Etwas viel Geld aber es macht was es verspricht. Achso und zu dem Messer man muss es bisschen nach unten drücken damit es rein geht !
