It can safely be put on a low setting to keep coffee warm, though this can change the flavor of the coffee. My recommendation is to pour into an insulated cup or mug to retain heat. **Q: Is this the 01 size or 02?** A: I believe this is the 01 size. That is what came with my set. Each cup tastes better than the last, but any error is my own and nothing to do with the pour over kit. It looks and feels high quality, and is very easy to clean.
