(I had low expectations, tbh) but it does get HOT! It takes a while to heat all the way and you have to gradually turn up the temperature. I used it to press my mom's natural hair the other night (she has a 3C, 4A texture) and it did straighten her hair. However, it doesn't get the roots like a traditional straightening comb.
