The case itself is very cosmetically appealing and the magnet is strong- it has yet to fall apart for me. To be honest- I throw this little compact around! I toss it in my makeup bag and don't think twice, and it has held up better than any other blush I've had. The powder is not too compacted, but it isn't loose either- I am in full control of how much product comes off onto the brush.
