I live in the pnw and remember my step mom's calamandon marmalade. could this be used with a "basic" orange marmalade recipe for that wonderful flavor

I think it would work well for that. I use it mostly for easy Calamansi noodles and chicken. Annoying that most recipes say to substitute lime juice for this. Once you taste it you know lime juice ISNT a substitute at all.

does this come in a glass or plastic bottle? is the expiration date far out?

Hi Cine, Thank you for reaching out to us! Our Pure Calamansi comes in 10oz. plastic bottle. Yes, it does. Amazon's current stocks has an expiration date of June 15, 2019. It is best stored in the fridge to keep the product last longer. I hope this helps! Thank you for choosing Sun Tropics! Sun Tropics, Inc

Mine expired in 4/2017 and I am still using it. I keep it in the fridge. OPEN bottles degrade pretty quickly. I also dont see any reason that it cant be frozen

Is this juice or purée?

Its a puree but nothing even close to their Juice you buy at the grocer... More along the lines of bottled lemon juice.
