**Q: Where on the toaster does the cord come out of?**
A: the toaster does not have a 'retractable'  plug, what the toaster has is a winding area on the bottom of the toaster where the cord comes out of the the center of the bottom of the toaster.  I appreciate now what made my old toaster special with a retractable cord!
