These books were something that he actually wanted to sit down and read. The chapters are short with frequent small pictures that helped hold his attention. And if he was struggling to focus, the short chapter length made it easy to break off and pick up later. Initially my boy wanted a book about a boy robot, but as a parent I really liked that the robot was a girl to diversify his reading material just a bit. This was a good reading level for him also. There were a couple words here and there that he struggled with, but the majority of the book had familiar vocabulary. And to get to the point, the book was interesting for me! I liked listening to him read because the story was engaging enough to capture my attention and wonder what would happen with Roz next. Review: My kids love these books - We rarely ever buy books, but we have such a hard time finding an available copy through our library I went ahead and grabbed the set. My seven and five year old loved these and ask to have them read often. Extremely well written and would appeal to older kids as well.
