Review: Bostich Outward Clench Stapler works great. - I sent back the Arrow version. It broke on the first row of staples I put into it. The adjustment grub screw stripped out of the cheap beer can metal they cut threads in. The Bostich has no adjustment, it just works. I am on my second box of staples (you need their special staples for this gun). The staples I am shooting from this gun are much thicker than the staples I am pulling from my 35 year old duct wrap though. Gets the job done stapling fiberglass duct wrap back onto the ducts after opening them up, taping them, putting mastic on the tape, closing them back, putting mastic on the seam, wraping the old stuff in new silver bubble wrap, taping and putting mastic on. We can feel the difference inside with heat and AC. Buy this on if you are airsealing your house. It just works great.

**Q: Does this item comes with any Staples?**
A: Mine did not come with staples, I searched for the lowest price and found some, I would probably suggest only getting the right type of staples--so be careful!

**Q: Outward clinch meaning?**
A: think of a desktop stapler - the points of the staple turn it on themselves due to the plate on the stapler's base - outward clinch is the opposite - the points bend out when the staple is shot - the curved ends look like a double sided pi symbol on a math problem - the staple is designed to bend in such a way that the staple sets in the insulation layers and holds together against itself and the insulation since there is no backer plate  -- hope this helps

This is the tool you need to staple fiberboard duct together, when putting together plenum or mixing boxes ect. Nice tool!

I sent back the Arrow version. It broke on the first row of staples I put into it. The adjustment grub screw stripped out of the cheap beer can metal they cut threads in. Good stapler. There are rare jams, perhaps 1 over 100 staples. I would had preferred to have zero jams but 1 every 100 staples is perfectly acceptable.
