There are half a dozen reviews with pictures showing where the hollow handle has become disconnected from the wide round socket in the head piece. Estwing's solid models do not have this clearly visible socket/lip where the head and handle connect, and are smooth tapered. **Q: New at fossil-hunting - in addition to this hammer, should I consider a smaller Estwing (maybe 13 oz.) for finer work?
