Crafted with a lightweight poplar body, maple neck, and jatoba fingerboard, it delivers professional-grade playability and tone. Equipped with two single-coil pickups, this bass offers a rich, full sound comparable to full-size models, making it perfect for beginners, guitarists transitioning to bass, or pros needing a travel-friendly instrument. ## Description Don't be fooled into thinking the Ibanez GSR micro is a toy. It’s made to the same high standards of the other GIO series guitars. The Gsrm20 features, small scale SR body, full sound pickups, the same construction, same materials, and same set-up and inspection as its full size counterparts. Its shorter 28. 6” scale makes it perfect for tour buses, space-restricted home studios, folks with smaller hands, as well as young rockers or beginners. Review: Impressed by this little monster - I chose this bass because I am used to playing guitar and wanted something to do some home recording with, and didn't want anything too big or unwieldy, and I am shocked by how small and light it is. It's smaller than the PRS guitar I usually play, but still sounds great. Pickups are passive but that's fine with me as active pickups are just another thing that can fizzle out at the worst possible moment anyway. My only real complaint was how incredibly out of tune it was on arrival, but any new guitar is going to need tuning and the stock strings should probably be replaced ASAP anyway. Would be a great starter bass and I wouldn't hesitate to gig with this if I had to. It looks cool too. Review: The Guitar Player's Perfect Guilty Pleasure Short Scale Bass! - Just my opinion, but this just might be the guitar player's perfect guilty pleasure short scale bass! With its remarkably short 28" scale, it's so comfortable, balanced, light & easy to play! Amazingly inexpensive. Flawless fit & finish (at least mine was right out of the box - and in a really gorgeous matte slightly textured weathered black finish w/all black hardware). Just one minor out of the box issue - slight buzzing, but only on the E string and only when fretting the E on the first fret. So, possibly the second fret needed/needs minor dressing - but that was more than I wanted to attempt, so instead I simply raised the E string a hair at the bridge and the buzz was instantly gone, with no effect on E string volume that I could detect. The pickups sound fine to me. A true little gem at a truly bargain price. (Note - the gig bag was not included - it was a separate purchase - but for the price what can you expect?!) ## Features - 4-string Electric Bass with Poplar Body - 2 Single-coil Pickups - Brown Sunburst - Jatoba Fingerboard - Maple Neck ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00ESJDQ4Q | | Back Material Type | Agathis Wood | | Best Sellers Rank | #3,211 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #4 in Electric Bass Guitars | | Body Material | Poplar | | Body Material Type | Poplar | | Brand | Ibanez | | Brand Name | Ibanez | | Color | Brown Sunburst | | Connector Type | 6.35mm Jack | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,988 Reviews | | Fretboard Material Type | Rosewood | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00606559983728 | | Guitar Bridge System | B10 bridge | | Guitar Pickup Configuration | Magnetic Combination | | Hand Orientation | Right | | Included Components | not included | | Instrument | Electric Bass | | Instrument Size | Brown Sunburst | | Item Dimensions | 39 x 11.5 x 2.3 inches | | Item Type Name | Bass Guitar | | Item Weight | 6.9 pounds | | Manufacturer | Hoshino USA | | Manufacturer Part Number | GSRM20BS | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Name | GSRM20 | | Model Number | IBA GSRM20 BS | | Model Series | MiKro | | Neck Material Type | Maple, Bolt-on | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Strings | 4 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Scale Length | 28.6 | | Set Name | Ibanez GSRM20BS MiKro | | String Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Top Material Type | Poplar Wood | | UPC | 606559983728 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Ibanez electric guitars and basses are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of (1) one year from the date of original retail purchase. So long as the instrument uses a regular guitar cable (so none of those cheap toy instruments with usb outs) you’ll be fine. **Q: Does this come with an amp cord and case?** A: This bass doesn't come with an amp, instrument cable, or a case. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressed by this little monster *by J***K on August 2, 2026* I chose this bass because I am used to playing guitar and wanted something to do some home recording with, and didn't want anything too big or unwieldy, and I am shocked by how small and light it is. A little time setting nut height, neck relief and pick up heights and it was off to the races!! Smaller handed adult, easy to play and comfortable as it weighs less than a full size bass. So far so good, more than worth the price in my opinion ## Frequently Bought Together - Ibanez GSRM20BS MiKro - Brown Sunburst - Fender Rumble 25 V3 Bass Amplifier, Bass Combo Amp, 25 Watts, with 2-Year Warranty, 8 Inch Speaker, with Overdrive Circuit and Mid-Scoop Contour Switch - Amazon Basics Adjustable Folding Guitar Stand, A-shape, Fully Assembled - For School Music Program, Concerts & Multiple Users, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/8209122-gsrm20bs-mikro-brown-sunburst](https://www.desertcart.no/products/8209122-gsrm20bs-mikro-brown-sunburst) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
