Will Ferrell (Buddy Hobbs) plays a man with a spirit that is completely different from what his biological father Walter Hobbs (James Caan) would have hoped for him to be. The movie also gives a glimpse into the publishing industry because Walter Hobbs is shown working at a job that entails him spearheading the publishing of various books.

This is a silly, fun movie for those who love Christmas! Be prepared to suspend reality and feel like a little kid again! I've seen it many times and I still love it! Will Ferrell is hilarious and makes a great elf.

A classic Will Ferrell movie before he started to overdo his shtick. This is already a Christmas classic to be watched every Christmas. Hilarious and quotable.

This is a classic movie. The homer is herlourus, it's fun and charming. There is a line in the movie "there is no Christmas Spirit Anymore" and although this is true these days, if you want to see something with Christmas Spirit in it, this is a good movie for that, it's very wholesome. Some of the jokes may not be that funny for older audiences and it is PG for a reason(i.e. a joke about burping). This Blue Ray is packed with feactuers, I watched them last year and it made the 1.5 hours experience around 2.5 hours long.

Pues llega con un bonito slipcover comer algo desgastado, pero de calidad aceptable. La imagen eso si es una mejorar sustancias desde el viejo blu-ray convencional y el efecto HDR10 es una ganancia tangible de esta mejora. La calidad y nitidez es muy buena, que deja atrás los errores del antiguo blu-ray. El sonido en inglés DTS-HD MA 5.1 es muy bueno, así como correcto el español latino Dolby Digital 5.1. Trae subtítulos en ambos idiomas y más, y el código digital es válido solo para USA.

We just watched this for the first time last night and our family was surprised at how charming and well done this film is. Easily a "new classic" that can be viewed every holiday season without getting old. But most importantly for those of you perhaps considering upgrading from a blu-ray copy to the new 4K... we were all shocked at how good the 4K image quality on this disc looks. Absolute reference image quality: minimal grain (but without losing detail or naturalness from DNR), incredible detailed, organic, and with lots of depth-of-field. Colors are rich and varied without being oversaturated. Blacks are noise-free and clean. Basically a "perfect picture" and one of the best looking 4K discs I've seen. I should add that we have a 4K JVC projector and are watching on a screen greater than 100 inches so we're seeing "the truth" of the source material. Given the great price, if you have a 4K television and player, I cannot recommend this purchase strongly enough (even if you already own and feel satisfied with the blu-ray... trust me... you'll see an improvement with this 4K disc).
