Review: You won't regret it, if you understand logic, and prefer good smells. - Easily the best litter I've encountered by far, and have been cleaning up after cats for decades. So far since I started using this with 3 cats at least a year or two ago it seems, have only gone through a few bags or so (one small, one the green bag, and at least two red [26 pound, multi-cat] purchased in a store for maybe twice the cost as on here.) Recently started the first bag ordered online, and is just as great as the others have been. Dust free is quite accurate, at most I've noticed a tiny amount that more likely than not was from actual dust from the air, settling on the litter in the pans. Odor free is very accurate as well, I'd hate to use the term "magical" when describing anything related to excrement, but anything else doesn't do this product justice. Even with 3 cats competing to over-utilize the 3 large litter boxes as much as they possibly can, in a poorly ventilated (especially during cold weather) room, it's as if the litter absorbs any odors attempting to escape the boxes. At most, at least to me, it smells like freshly crushed walnuts, but not in any sort of overpowering aroma way. Scooping daily would be best, but if you forget like I do, you might need an alarm, as you won't think anything has happened litter-wise for at least a few days, unless the litter pans are easily in your line of sight several times per day. And if you forget too long, any odor that may start to appear will be gone again, after you scoop. Long story short: no dust, no odor, clumps great, minimal amounts get tracked around for a few steps (but currently have no litter mat to catch it.) If you order this and have dust or other issues, chances are something went wrong somewhere, so let your provider know, and get it replaced. desertcart is great about that sort of thing, customer service is the best way to keep customers, of course. Thus, negative reviews based on assumptions and mix-ups only hurt yourself ...and everyone else. Hopefully this product continues to shine for me and the cats, and not have any issues, but it's a big world out there, and results will inevitably vary from time to time, no matter what you do. On a side note, the pieces are quite hard, and might be slightly larger than most brands, so sensitive paws "might" prefer either a combination litter or other vet-recommended approaches (such as for newly de-clawed kittens, if you must de-claw them.)
Review: BUY IT!! - Don't hestitate. Just buy it. (Litter)ally the best cat litter of all time. I have tried all kinds of cat litter (Sand clumping, pellets, tidy cats, etc) but they always small after use so quick! After months of searching, I found this and glad I did. My three young cats took to it really quick and prefers it. Probably because it rids all the smell. No more stinky poop and pee, no more gagging after each change. I don't need to wear a mask when scooping to mask out the smell or worry so much about the dust. It still leaves some dust but not as much as compared to other litter. Plus it's much cheaper than all other litter. It's way lighter so although this is a 26lb bag, you get a lot! I also bought the 40 lbs of this and the amount is double the amount of 40 lbs Dr. Elsey's Ultra Premium Clumping and it lasts much longer since it doesn't smell! I change out the litter only when it starts to smell which is in about every 2-3 weeks. But that's with 3 cats sharing 1 automatic litter robot. So if you only have 1 cat, you only have to change out every month or longer. The only downside is that the litter is dark which means you can't really see if there is blood or not in their poop. Hopefully that will change. For now I mix it with the lighter color litter sand. The other downside is it doesn't clump as well so some of the pee would stick to the bottom of the litter robot but I don't mind it much. With a typical litter box bins, it should not be a problem.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: So many fabulous reviews and then the same amount of negative reviews.(Skip the 3 stars) Which is it ???**
A: Agreed, walnut can be stainy, though I've always been able to scrub it off of tubs / floors. I have experienced little to no dust, but I take Jeremy S's point that perhaps some bags are dustier than others. I think the clumping is adequate, the odor control (WITHOUT perfume, thank heavens) is great, and tracking has been less than any of the clay, corn, or pine litters I've tried. Our cats are toilet trained, so we use almost no litter. I have a 34# bag (old SKU) that is almost empty and is probably 4 years old. We also have a 26# bag (this SKU) which is getting low, and which I bought and opened only because I stumbled on some new kittens which we are training now. I say all that to lead into my statement that this litter IS flushable. If you want to read an expanded version of my thoughts about this litter and toilet training, you can catch it in my review of this litter. Here, I just wanted to briefly address a few of the other comments.

**Q: This litter was suggested today by a pet store clerk. I'm using "The worlds best litter" now. Has anybody used that and how does it compare to this?**
A: I just switched from World's Best to this litter. I like World' Best a lot, but I'm switching my cats to non-grain food and decided to do the same with their litter. World's Best is made of corn. The walnut is a little grittier and I can tell that while scooping, but it's no big deal. It clumps about the same. The cats seem to like this better. I haven't used it for long, but there's been no odor even when the cats don't bury their poop. It also seems to track less. I haven't used it long enough to see a problem with staining. Since my floors are dark laminate, it would hardly show anyway.

**Q: Can this be used with the breeze litter box?**
A: I use it with the Breeze litter box. When changing the urine pad (I do it every 5-7 days), I do notice a lot of pellet 'residue' on the urine pad (they break up a lot easier when wet, as stated by a previous answer). Not that that really matters, as you'll throw those out when you replace the pad, anyway. My main problem is with their brown color, vs. the white/tan color of the Tidy Cat pellets, though some may consider that a positive. I prefer to add pellets as needed and only do a complete refill (& sanitize the box) every month, so I like to be able to 'spot' all the dirty pellets & remove them. That being said, I haven't noticed an odor problem or anything that would indicate these are less 'effective' than the Tidy Cat pellets. The price of these pellets as I write this answer is $5.89 for 14 lbs for Blue Buffalo, vs. $28 for 14 lbs (4 bags of 7 lbs @ $45.99) for the cheapest Tidy Cat pellets. It's an easy buy for me.

**Q: What's the difference between the red bag and green bag?**
A: I have 7 cats and use the red bag, I can tell you that when they do their business I can’t tell because it doesn’t smell at all!!! And I am so happy for it, I’ve been looking for one that does what the red bag does

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well... I like it.
*by S***Y on February 15, 2016*

This is by far my favorite cat littler I have had so far. I have used traditional clumping clay litter, newspaper litter, World's Best and this is my favorite. Dusty: It still is dusty. It's probably just as dusty as the World's Best litter. It's also brown, so there is a light brown layer of dust everywhere. Smell: There is no urine smell. I do clean the litter box twice everyday though. But typically even if I only do it once a day, it still doesn't smell at all. I have used the traditional clumping clay litter and I don't like it. It smells like perfume/soap and it doesn't mask the urine smell. It mixes together making a weird smell that I hate. Clumping: It clumps great. Unless there is not a lot of litter in the box, it clumps fine for me. I have purchased this both in a store and online through Amazon, and I haven't had any problems with clumping. The only time I had problems is when I got the green bag which is just the "clumping" one. That one doesn't clump as well as the red bag of "multi-cat" litter. Tracking: My cat has tracked every kind of litter I have. She is a medium length haired cat with tuffs of longer fur on her paws that I feel like have suction cups for litter. Yes, I have trimmed her paw hairs (with minimal agitation to the cat before) and she still tracked litter. I have also used litter that advertises themselves as "no tracking" which NEVER worked for my cat. I used pellet litter thinking, she can't possibly track large pellets of litter. It was a taller littler box so I know she wasn't kicking out of the litter box. But to my unfortunate surprise, she still tracked pellets. PELLETS! It like she grows thumbs and grabs a handful of litter every time she exited the litter box. The only thing that worked is the top entry litter boxes. While that hasn't stopped the tracking completely, she now only tracks what I feel like is only 5% of what she was tracking before. Color: Yup, its brown. It's dark brown, and my cat actually has had a urinary track infection that I didn't know about until she dribbled bloody urine outside of her litter box. The poor gal probably had it for a period of time that makes me look like I neglected her. I felt awful. So if your cat is known to have kidney issues or prone to urinary track infections, you may want to consider a litter where you can see bloody urine. Hopefully my cat hasn't gotten a UTI since that happened now that I mention it. Maybe I should take my own advice. Uh-oh.... Conclusion: Other than just now questioning whether or not I should continue using this litter, I am happy with it. I wish it wasn't as dusty but I haven't found anything that works as well as Blue Buffalo. Good luck with your litter adventures.
