Our wide selection is eligible for free shipping and free returns. ## Features - Works Anywhere Without Electricity: The included manual hand pump compresses the airtight chamber without batteries, charging or an electrical outlet. Repack clothes at airports, campsites, RV parks, cabins or during power outages, making this backpack practical for carry-on travel, road trips, camping and off-grid use. - Up to 50% Soft-Clothing Compression: The vacuum system reduces the volume of shirts, pants, underwear and jackets, helping the 40L backpack carry gear for 2-5 day trips with less bulk. Compression varies by material: puffy items compress more, while shoes, toiletries and rigid gear retain their original size. - 18 x 14 x 8 In Personal-Item Size: When properly packed, the backpack fits under the seat on many airlines and is slimmer than a typical 20-in roller. It can help travelers avoid checking a bag, but personal-item limits vary, so confirm the latest dimensions with your airline before departure. - 180-Degree Opening and 17-In Laptop Storage: The suitcase-style opening makes packing and unpacking easier, while the padded sleeve fits laptops up to 17 in. A separate wet/dry pocket, quick-access front pocket and side holders organize electronics, documents, toiletries, bottles and everyday travel essentials. - Vacuum Seal Holds for 7-10 Days: The upgraded airtight zipper is designed to maintain compression throughout short trips when correctly closed. For easier sealing, fill the chamber to about 70%, close the zipper completely before pumping and never force it when overpacked. Initial stiffness is normal and typically improves after 3-5 uses. - Waterproof TPU Chamber and Water-Resistant Exterior: The sealed TPU compression chamber is waterproof, odor resistant and tear resistant, helping separate clothing from moisture and smells. The nylon outer backpack is water resistant for light rain and splashes but is not designed for full submersion. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0GM1NWCC5 | | Apparel Fabric Stretch | No Stretch | | Apparel Fabric Weight Class | Lightweight | | Backpack Design | Laptop Backpack | | Backpack Harness Type | S-Curve Harness | | Best Sellers Rank | #3,436 in Laptop Backpacks | | Brand Name | HPOMAC | | Color | Teal | | Compatible Device Size Maximum | 17 inches | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars (24) | | Fit to Size Sentiment | positive | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 8"D x 18"W x 18"H | | Manufacturer Part Number | VTB001-TEAL | | Number Of Pockets | 5 | | Number of Compartments | 4 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Outer Material | Nylon | | Pattern | Solid | | Product Style | Casual | | Shell Type | Soft Shell | | Size | 40L | | Sleeve Length Description | Long Sleeve | | Sport Type | Hiking | | Storage Volume | 40 liters | | Strap Type | Adjustable | | Style Number | VTB001 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Repellent | | Zippered Compartment Count | 6 | ## Images ![40L Vacuum Compression Backpack with Manual Pump for Carry On Travel - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71M7iXsQnlL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How many days of clothes can this vacuum backpack travel hold?** A: 2-5 days depending on packing style. A typical 3-day trip: 3-5 shirts, 2-3 jeans, underwear, toiletries, jacket, plus 17" laptop. Vacuum compression turns 23L into 35-45L effective capacity. Perfect for weekend trips and short business travel. **Q: Will this fit as carry-on on Spirit, Frontier, and budget airlines?** A: Yes, 18 × 14 × 8" fits carry-on limits for many major airlines like Southwest, American, Delta, Alaska, personal-item limits on airlines such as Spirit, Frontier. Compressed, it packs slimmer than many 20" roller to help you skip extra baggage fees. **Q: Does vacuum compression really double the space?** A: Increases capacity 40-70%, not quite double. Puffy items compress 60-70%, cotton 40-50%, rigid items less. Extends 2-3 day capacity to 4-5 days for smart packers. Seal holds 7-10 days. Pro tip: Pack compression-friendly fabrics for best results. **Q: Will my 17" laptop or MacBook Pro 16" fit in this vacuum compression backpack?** A: Yes. Padded sleeve fits up to 17" laptops (41cm diagonal, 2.8cm thick) including MacBook Pro 16", Dell XPS 17, Lenovo ThinkPad, ASUS ROG. Suspended against back panel for shock absorption. **Q: Why is the airtight zipper stiff? Is it defective?** A: Not defective—high-tension design maintains vacuum seal (like scuba dry bags). Breaks in after 3-5 uses. Key tip: Fill to 70%, zip first, THEN compress. Never force a bulging zipper. Initial stiffness ensures long-lasting performance. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/809010120-40l-vacuum-compression-backpack-with-manual-pump-for-carry-on](https://www.desertcart.no/products/809010120-40l-vacuum-compression-backpack-with-manual-pump-for-carry-on) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
