You can change the world one snippet of kindness at a time. Snippets is a story that reveals the power of kindness and the beauty of being unique. And it does so through the journey of two different groups of shapes (the polygons and irregular polygons). In Snippets, discover a very powerful message while learning shapes at the same time. Snippet finds himself in a world full of perfect shapes and soon realizes his odd shape doesn't fit in. Despite being put down by his abnormally long top, Snippet's confidence in his unique shape gives him the ability to show how everyone is stronger together than when they are apart. The best book for raising confident children Snippets has the key message of love and positivity which is supported by many positive parenting solutions today. It will pair nicely with other books that focus in on emotions and inclusion. Like the work of RJ Palacio (We're All Wonders), Laurie Wright (I Can Handle It), and Barny Saltzberg (Beautiful Oops). Searching for bullying books for children? Teasing is often part of growing up, and almost every child experiences it, but sometimes it's hard for the child to talk about it. Snippets can open the door to discussions of when they have felt bullied or left out. There are thought-provoking questions at the end of the book to help promote this dialogue. This story's approach to positive thinking for children will help them face difficult situations with confidence in themselves. Deep down in his heart, being divided felt wrong. he just wanted to see all the shapes get along. As he stood thinking, an idea came to mind: What if he went back and tried to be kind... to that misguided square with the perfect physique. He could show him the beauty of being unique. Building a better world All of us can relate to being left out, or not feeling perfect. However, it is our sincere hope that the words and beautiful illustrations in Snippets will guide you through a process that will bring you hope and encouragement. Review: A heartwarming story that combines IQ and EQ! - Snippets is a phenomenally engaging story that touches on some heavy topics for any child, fitting in, diversity, and how different isn't a bad thing. Throughout all of this story the author has managed to incorporate a basic geometry lesson and teaching children to identify shapes throughout! My niece and nephew were fully engaged on both fronts, with the capping moment, as we closed the book, being them pointing to the book and yelling "rectangle!". Strongly recommend! Review: Good Book - Super cute book, I love sharing it with my students.

A fun read with a wonderful moral to the story.
My son asked for this book after having been read it at school, and being happy to support his reading I obliged. The imagery in the book was simple but also fun and full of character. As we read on I was drawn to the strong sentiment of the story and the beautiful conclussion. It's a fun, engaging read for a young child and has a great moral to the story in its climax. I would recommend it and glad my son had also.

Great book.....buy the series
This is a great book to read with your children. It opens their minds, is quite engaging....my kids wanted to make "Snippets" immediately. The entire series is great. I plan to purchase them again to donate to my children's school. I think they are great for all kids to read and to have in their library at home. Enjoy. This book will not disappoint.

Cute story about the joy of being different
I love the overall message that all shapes can get along and be good for each other. I also love that this story teaches shapes, and colors, and there are lots of other learning opportunities like counting and facial expressions.

Great book about how difference shouldn’t divide us
Love everything about Diane Alber’s books. I even found myself purchasing random books that had a good message… low and behold … there she is again. My kids love snippets, I’m not just a scribble, and scribble stones. We even found a scribble stone at the park one day. Apparently someone locally makes them and hides them for kids to find. Luckily, my kids knew what it was from reading the books. Thank you Diane … we love your work!

I'm impressed!
Set in alternate rhyme, Diane Alber's children's book SNIPPETS is a revelation of how being different from others can eventually increase the possibility of a unifying diversity. The rejection by others may rebound and become a blessing for the ostracized and for those who initially enforced the rejection. Mrs. Alber artfully relates how otherness need not be a barrier but can instead prove beneficial for all concerned. I'm impressed!
