I got this for use in my optics lab for fiber coupling free space lasers into a fiber. It combines the visible laser source and power meter into one device. While slightly annoying to switch the fiber between the two, having to carry one device only is convenient. The power meter is not very well calibrated (measured to be ~30% off from a calibrated ThorLabs meter), and only goes up to something like 3mW. However, it has very nice low light sensitivity and can start working down to 2-3 nW. I've used this at 460 nm, 850 nm and 1450 nm and it will give you a relative reading at all three wavelengths. Overall, a very good device for helping with fiber coupling.
