Sodium selenite is reduced via oxidation to ions. An ionic solution is not metabolized by the body in the exact same way as a complex compound such as Sodium Selenite. Selenium ions have 5 known oxidative states, and all have variable absorption/uptake methods within the body. Our process uses sodium selenite as a reliable source of selenium ions, which are then isolated and stabilized through oxidation (change in valance state) and then finally presented to the body in the monoatomic form (fulvic acid is the carrier).
