Does it fit size 12 basketball shoes

I suppose it does, I think the length for size 12 is round 30 cm and the shoe's shelves is 35-36 cm. In order to be sure, you can measure your basketball shoes and compare.

Does anyone know the internal size of each cube

It's about 14 inch depth per cube

Can you buy extra parts so that it be stacked 1x12 and not 2x6?

Hi, you don't need to buy extra parts. You can put it up any way you choose, i.e 2 across 6 up or a stack of 12 × 1, 3 across 4 high. Its very versatile to how you want it just put together how you want. Hope this helps
