This scanner interfaces better with the program I use (needs TWAIN driver) no lag time between clicking scan and the program opening. I scanned in thousands of older documents that have been stored and were no longer flat. This scanner had no trouble where the other kept getting jammed. Overall, this is a great scanner for what I need it to do.
