### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Freud's Ideology In A Nut Shell

Well written, objectively argued (mostly), concise, precise and profound. This is almost like a summary of Freud's entire life's work. I think the book should be added to the must read books before you die.There is one concern that I have with the book and it is with Freud's giant leaps in terms of certain assumptions and basing conclusions of those assumptions. His idea of events in the life of the primitive man, his sweeping conclusions with respect to the Oedipus Complex (which I reject as a structure of analysis) and finally, his excessive reliance on the primordial sexual drive do weaken his work and have formed the basis of much of his critics' works.Whether you agree with the Oedipal structure or not, this book is certainly worth the effort. Enjoy!
