Review: It works great - The setup was easy. Four of the sockets use the backup power, the other four don't. So I hooked up just the necessary things for backup: My PC, monitor, and router. Then I pulled the plug out of the wall. There was no interruption whatsoever - everything just kept running. It said I had 26 minutes of battery time. So I'll break that down, because so many people want a time estimate. I bought the 600va/360w version. My PC was built to be low power consumption. I estimate it consumes 150w, maximum, and much less when idle. The monitor is a medium-sized 1080p monitor. I am guessing it takes 30w. That's a blind guess. The modem, maybe 15w. So that's less than 200w, and I get 26 minutes running time. Your desktop PC probably uses a bit more power. I'm on a circuit that blows frequently, so I only need a short time while the circuit is reset. So if you're only supporting a router/modem, it should last a very long time. It is apparent to me that many of the unhappy reviewers are need a commercial-grade solution and are expecting much more power and features than this simple, inexpensive UPS has. The unit is rated at 360w. As you approach that maximum, efficiency will drop and your run time will be greatly reduced. Keep it to 200w or less, if you want good efficiency. Don't try putting a 'fridge or a microwave on this little guy. It isn't made for that. A normal laptop might get a few hours out of this. Most desktop PC's use more power than mine does, especially a fancy gaming rig or software engineer's station. If you have a mighty computer, you won't get much more than time to shut it down gracefully. A more modest computer might last 15 minutes or more. Please keep in mind these are my amateur estimates. There is software. Check under the product info on the desertcart page. I forget which tab it is under, but there's a link. Plug the supplied cable into your computer to configure the unit. Install software. It will ask for a username and password. Both are "admin" until/unless you change them. You don't have to use the software. It just lets you tinker with settings and see the battery time and load. Handy for experimenting with different loads. No complaints, it's doing just what I hoped it would do. Review: It’s made by cyber power systems, that’s good! Hidden gem! - Got this for use with my power lift recliner chair, wireless home phone cellular box, and cordless phone base. At least for battery backup. And then have some other stuff plugged in on the surge side. Nice size, likely a 12 volt 5ah battery inside although I didn’t check. Pretty confident about this. It has surge protection, battery backup, and will provide automatic switching during a power outage. My recliner has been a difficult situation when power goes out. You can only put it down once and it’s SLOW using a couple of 9. Lot alkaline batteries and only works once. Last storm I could not go back to recline to sleep off the outage. This powers the chair with ease. Can download the cyber power systems software to do a bunch of stuff with the ups. And check status. Nice UPS, good value. And confidence because of who makes it.

Bought this two months ago, power went out this week for over 2 hours, and the entire time we had WiFi because the router and modem were plugged into this. Not sure if it could’ve handled a desktop as well, but it did its job with the WiFi.
