I have 3 parakeets. I have made a shelf above their cage for them to play and perch on. I do not cage my birds during the day only for bedtime, but the lights have been perfect for our needs. I was able to attach the lights and they illuminate the bird area and cages steadily. They are very stable. I would recommend them to any bird owner. Please don’t judge my shelf. I haven’t finished this one with the trim and paint. It takes about 30 days for the bird safe paint to set so I am making a second one that will have trim and will be painted. I still like my half done one as it is functional. 😂

I only wish I'd bought the sunrise/sunset timer too, and plan to purchase one ASAP but as for the light function itselfーyou can't go wrong. Installation os easy, you'll need no instructions for effortless lighting on your flock. The lights are bright and strong, with one 8'' light bar capable of adequately lighting a 30'' flight cage.Cords are minimal and manageable, with extra thick coating for parrot-proofing if you allow free flight time out of the cage. The light covers are easily cleaned, just wipe them down with a damp cloth or lysol wipe. Because these lights are linkable, you can expand with ease as well, which is great if you have a habit of acquiring birds in a rescue setting where the amount of birds is constantly fluctuating.100% highly recommending buying the bundles. You need the timer and power supply. Even if you don't think you may, trust me when I say you should make sure you have the appropriate adapter and that light timer. I'm super duper looking forward to getting my timer as I'm exceptionally pleased with the make and quality of these lights. As a side note, I've had birds for 30+ years and have tried every kind of cage light, floor light and tube light you can imagine but this set up is all you need!

The light is very bright and works really well in theory, however something must be faulty with the model I ordered.The light gets dangerously hot, like it is impossible to touch when it's on without seriously burning yourself, and radiates a dangerous amount of heat to the point it was literally cooking anything on the shelf above my cage. I noticed a burning plastic smell and thought it was just the clips that came with the light, but the entire plastic part of the light housing was melting and the light itself was slowly melting through! Super dangerous and disappointing, glad I'm the only person with this issue in the reviews so far! The fumes alone could have killed my bird!!!
