It doesn't work. It was for my son's school work

Ordered this product, received the black color. Since I'm abroad I can't return the product. This product costs 2000 rupees more than what I received and they are struggling to refund the difference amount and are giving reasons. Customer call executives are horrible, when we call to discuss our problems, they sit and laugh at our situation. I regret ordering.

I bought this TI-84 Plus CE Color Graphing Calculator for my high schooler to use in class and for the ACT exam. This is actually my second purchase because the first one disappeared, and I needed a replacement quickly. I picked the mint color because it was the cheapest option at the time and had the fastest delivery.It’s used regularly in class and does exactly what the math teachers expect, with graphing, functions, stats, and all the typical coursework without drama. The color screen is also a nice upgrade because it makes graphs and menus easier to read compared to older models.The Highlights:🔋Battery life is excellent: It charges quickly and then seems to run forever in normal school use.🔌Charging port: this model uses a Mini-USB (USB Mini-B, the thicker style) cable (not Micro-USB). I can’t say what TI will use on future revisions, but this one is definitely Mini-USB.🏫Test and school acceptance: the TI-84 Plus CE is approved for the ACT, and it also appears to be permitted under SAT/PSAT calculator guidance. We did not do SAT/PSAT, so we don't have firsthand experience.👍Pros- Reliable for daily class use (matches what teachers expect).- Great battery life; easy to recharge (note the con below).- The color screen is easier to read than older models.- The slide cover protects well and stores on the back.- Approved for ACT.👎Cons- Uses Mini-USB, not USB-C (one more older cable to keep track of).- Expensive to replace when one inevitably “disappears”. But you can lower the cost by selecting the right color.Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. It’s been dependable for schoolwork, and I expect it will still be useful beyond high school.

I teach statistics, and use the TI calculators all the time. Mostly I use a TI-84. Unfortunately, it doesn't always show up on the overhead projector very well. For that reason, and to have a spare for students who forget theirs, I decided to buy the new back lit version. The difference on the overhead is amazing! This shows up great. Not only that, the graphs look much nicer than on the old one, and it has a few additional features that the old one doesn't. Considering that this was marked down due to package damage, I got a good price on it as well. I really didn't see that much damage to the package, but I sure did love the price!Only one caveat - the calculator doesn't seem as robust as the older models. It is nice and light though, so I suppose that's a trade-off. I didn't think the blue was quite as pretty in real life as it is in the picture, but I didn't buy it for looks, so that's fine with me.

Short version: Faster processor with more memory than even the TI-84+ C and a nice backlit color screen.This is a nice calculator. I bought this for general use to replace an old TI-84+ Silver. It has the same key layout and software as the older calculator. I like the new design with square keys a lot more. The thinner, lighter build is also very nice with no compromise in plastic quality.The screen is fantastic. Color means that multiple graphs can be overlaid and still be easy to tell apart. The backlight makes the screen very easy to see unlike the old reflective screens that aren't good in all conditions.An interesting change between the TI-84+ C to this calculator is the significantly faster processor (about 3.5x faster) and more memory (about 4x more). It still has the same system software, so it's just a TI-84 but it has a lot more horsepower and working space.I cannot speak to battery life yet. I purchased it about a week before writing this and it still seems to show nearly 100%. I do have a TI-Nspire CX CAS which is also rechargeable. I can use it for about two weeks before needing a charge and the standby lifetime is months. The same likely applies to this device. Both devices use a common USB Mini-B port for power and data so getting plugged in is no problem. They also included a cable with the calculator so you don't need to find one if you don't already have a bazillion of them.The only complaint is that some of the applications don't make use of the entire higher resolution display. It completely mystifies me that the graphing utility wasn't rewritten to take advantage of the whole screen. Instead, TI has the system place a border around the graph. TI is pretty good about feature updates so it'll probably get fixed.Is it worth the money? Yes, very much so but maybe price track it on CamelCamelCamel to see if you can grab one for $120.I really hope they make a TI-89+ CE.

The TI-84 Plus CE works flawlessly, but that's all expected from Texas Instruments. TI also provides on-line PDF Users Guides (very helpful) that can be downloaded. But more importantly there's personal one-on-one math assistance through telephone help line. My daughter had a question on her first linear regression homework (high school) using her TI-84. She didn't clearly understand her teacher's instructions (a lot of buttons and settings to punch). So, she called TI and the assistant walked my daughter through the TI-84's necessary settings. Then the assistant discussed/worked with her to ensure she understood the assignment using the TI-84. Wow, what service!! We've been TI customers since grade school, through middle school, and now high school. Highly recommend TI products. P.S. Get the CE version because the color graphing is so clear and the rechargeable battery and meter is very convenient.
