I used a small Black and Decker battery operated drill to do it and there was no strain or effort required. I drilled pilot holes first, using my DeWalt masonry drill bit and it was essential to do that. There is a masonry drill bit included with the screws but it looked like it wouldn't last long so I used my DeWalt bit but maybe the free one is better than I thought. I tried to make the final turns with a screwdriver and it was a lot harder, so maybe the key is to use a drill. Whatever, I certainly recommend these screws and would buy more if I need them.
