My F310 came with strings that possibly had the best balance between bright and warm, but I lost a high E to careless tuning. Since then, I’d switched to a set of Martin Eric Clapton .12 and always kind of had a feeling that I ‘settled’ for something I wasn’t convinced on (although, online reviews rave about these strings). I just replaced the MEC’s with the EJ26 and boy, the change swept me away! These strings are both more melodious and easier to play at the same time. They are a bit ‘overbright’ at the moment, but that’s expected from brand new strings. I can already hear the warm undertones that will come up as these strings mature. And then I expect them to be on that sweet spot of bright and warm, just as it claims on the pack. And I’m certainly missing less notes too. Chalk that up to the .11 instead of the .12. Edit: I have purchased these again after almost a year and have decided these are hands down the best you can buy in this market. Sounds even better on my mahogany bodied acoustic. I have tried Ernie Ball phosphor bronze which do not last long as Daddario's.. If you play regularly, they will easily last upto 4 months, until they get rusted. Tuning stability is good, but initially they might get detuned due to phosphor coating slippage. Bass and treble response are well balanced, hence you will enjoy the sound more while strumming.
