## Description

Why we need to aerate wine A wine aerator helps improve flavor and bouquet instantly. Using wine air aerator, especially when selecting a young, red wine, allows the introduction of oxygen, and so a chemical process takes place in the wine, enabling you to enjoy its full range of flavor. This mimics the process of aging almost perfectly. Have you ever heard that you need to let your wine breathe in order to enjoy its full bouquet, or have you ever heard of a sulfite wine filter, and wondered what the big deal was? How a wine aerator helps to remove sulfites The sulfates are removed in this process; added oxygen reacts and combines with phenols, which are bitter compounds, and these actually sink down to the bottom of your wine bottle. Wine areators for bottles and wine strainer remove sulfites from wine - these wine accessories work as sulfite removal for wine. Oxygen also reacts with other compounds, often causing them to break apart, leaving you better able to detect the distinct tastes that make your selection unique. Thus, the tannins are broken down, and the wine is both smoother and has a fuller taste. Wine aerators are must-have item for any wine lovers Are you under the impression that if you are to enjoy your wine as a true wine enthusiast, you need a lot of various wine tools? No need for a large wine decanter that takes up a great deal of space – this wine areator is also a no drip pourer, making it a wonderful wine accessory gift. You won’t need any other tool, because this red wine aerator kit contains the best bottle gadgets for your wine tasting needs. While some aerators are made of glass, our acrylic pouring spout is safer, and altogether a modern, unique design. This wine decanter set is must-have item for all wine lovers – young or well experienced, male or female – and is a perfect choice for birthdays, holiday gifts, or celebrations of achievement.

Review: Excellent/efficient pump - I have two fish ponds and many tubs/aquariums. The large pond is about 15,000 - 18,000 gallons so I have some experience with large air pumps. Over the years, I have used many types/brands of air pumps ranging from the loud and hot "commercial" air pumps, linear diaphragm air pumps (Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, with increasing quality in that order), to the linear piston air pumps (mainly Medo brand). I can say that Fujimac is one of the best pumps in terms of efficiency and noise level at the rated air pressure and volume. The only thing unknown at this point is diaphragm and flapper valve longevity. However, from my past experience with Japanese made diaphragm pumps, I think the Fujimac should offer industry leading service life for the rubber parts. From what I have read, the Hiblow XP-80 pump is in the same league as the Fujimac 80. They both use strong rare earth magnets thus having higher efficiency. However I have no first-hand experience with the XP-80 pump. The (Fujimac) pump is nominally rated at 51 Watts. In my installation, it consumes only about 38 Watts (see photo). I used a Kill-A-Watt meter to measure power consumption when the pump is running through about 25 feet of 5/8" ID tubing to a large EPDM 20" long cylindrical membrane diffuser wrapped around 2" PVC pipe. The water depth is about 4.5 feet deep. A typical 80 LPM air pump uses, on average, 60-70 watts. The other photo showing three air pumps driving three EPDM diffusers and you can see the FujiMac put out slightly more air (hard to see in photo) at almost half the electricity consumption. Around the year 2000, I acquired a couple Gast (USA company) "industrial" linear diaphragm air pumps but the pumps were made in Japan. I do not know which Japanese company OEMed these Gast pumps but the first one ran for 15 years straight 24/7 and finally one of the two diaphragms was torn. The replacement has been running since year 2015 non-stop up to today. I hope the Fujimac air pumps will run that long as well. On YouTube, there are a few videos about the Fujimac air pumps, some produced by Wholesale Septic Supply and others made by Fujimac (the company). In one of the videos, a Fujimac service person made this written comment: ". . . typically go more than ten years on the original diaphragms". I understand rubber parts longevity depends on climate and application setup, but I certainly hope this will be the case in my cool Michigan climate and good tubing/diffuser setup at reasonable water depth. I really like this pump and I ordered another one yesterday.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this model be wired direct?**
A: It comes as a plug-in but I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t alter it for direct wire

**Q: What is the small metal nipple that came taped to the top used for?**
A: That nipple replaces a phillips screw on the side of the unit in the event that you would need to utilize an air pressure switch.

**Q: Does it come with the hose?**
A: It will come with either a rubber L-tube or a straight two section rubber tube (for PVC pipe connection). The inner diameter of the rubber hose to the pump outlet is 18 mm (slightly small than 3/4").

**Q: What is the output pipe od and id size? How many liters per hour?**
A: The output nipple OD size is 18 mm (slightly less than 3/4"). The included short rubber hose should fit the OD very nicely. With the air output of this pump, it is better to use the OD rather than the smaller ID, which is 1/2", so it is not too restrictive.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trouble free

I've had it running for nearly a year trouble free. Easy to install

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super quiet
*by E***. on March 9, 2025*

I bought this to replace a Blue Diamond unit of the same size. I always had it in a cement block bunker with dirt for noise suppression. It's located 60 feet from the house. Even with the windows closed, I could always hear it humming outside. This Fuji is super quiet. I can feel the vibration while standing next to it, but that's it. Ten feet away and I can't even tell it's there. I can see that it's putting out the same amount of air with none of the noise. I love this Fuji aerator.
