**Q: How do I scan a document  from the HP deskjet 1050a printer into my laptop>**
A: when you want to scan a document/ letter or a picture. ( firstly ) ensure the front flap where printed paper pops out of the printer is closed.Then press scan. As soon as the scanning in complete it'll open a window on your screen, your looking for the words ' scan001'.On my screen I get a little face in a reddish box with the word ' scanned 001 - or scanned 002' click on that and what ever you scanned will open, once you have scanned it you simply drag it onto your desktop Or move to a folder. * I think the scanned 001 - 2 would change showing how many documents have been scanned. I always action mine, this is why It shows me scanned 001 0r scanned 002.    Hope this helps.

A: If you mean the printer drive just google the exact model of the printer + drive and you should be able to find it (choose the one that corresponds to your computer's operative system eg Windows Vista,  8 or Mac)

**Q: How long does this printer last and is there a warranty? My previous lasted three years, was more expensive.**
A: To be honest, I cannot even remember when I bought mine but it goes on and on... and on. I guess there was some sort of warranty but I have never worried about it. I gave up Epsoms years ago. I have two HP printers, one at home and one in my office. Both work to at least two computers and I am happy with them both. the only problem I have is that they are now old and are not so easy with Windows 8.1 but that is a Windows problem not an HP problem.
