Superb piece of kit
Brilliant power supply for the money. As others have reported the fan comes on very quickly on constant current even at very low currents and is a little noisy but it's a minor point really. Also the supplied alligator plug leads are quite short, so I bought a new longer set and now use the originals with my multi-meter. This has been so useful in testing/diagnosing and repairing electronic items and projects. I should have got this years ago! If you're getting into electronics building or repairing this is a great first bench supply.

Decent Bench Power Supply
Not used it much. Easy to set max current and voltage. Reasonable built. Fan comes on when on load. As described.

Decent basic PSU.
Decent DC power supply with reasonable accuracy for the price. Would have preferred it if it had the ability to store previous voltage configurations.

Excellent little bench top power supply
I wanted this to work on various PIC projects and was fed up using batteries and adapted USB supplies so finally opted for this unit. I am so far very pleased with it. Its solid and has a positive feel on the operation of the switches. The display is clear and easy to read, and its easy to adjust required output. My only slight criticism would be the quality of the leads which feel a little flimsy at the plug end, although this is easily remedied. Overall I would recommend this item.

Good value but fan is very noisy
A flexible high output bench supply but fan is very noisy. It only runs when under load, but at a modest 19V 2A load it was running all of the time which was quite distracting while working on equipment nearby.

BANG
I plugged the unit into a standard UK mains socket and the digital readout came on. Everything seemed fine. I tuned the voltage knob to around 1.5v and set the Amps to a similarly low setting. I returned to my notes for around 1 minute and the unit let out a loud pop and seized to work? I have checked the fuse and its fine and I know the bang came from inside the unit as did a slightly acrid smell that you would associate with electrical equipment blowing. Please can anyone tell me what happened?
