Set the channel and added it with no issues. Use it in a upright freezer on a different level, no issues. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent refrigerator/freezer sensor...works with Ecowitt. *by on Reviewed in the United States 24 May 2026* Impressive on many levels...this is a pretty awesome sensor for tracking and monitoring your refrigerator/freezer temperatures. This sensor seems very well made with high-quality materials. Super easy to setup, and it works perfectly with my Ecowitt Wittboy Pro system (WS90). It seems highly accurate, and has great transmission range. It has several mounting options, which is nice, and one mounting option that is not shown in the listing is using the included mounting clip (attached to the bottom of the sensor) to hold it upright on a shelf. I have configured it to send an email alert when my deep freezer reaches a certain temperature, greatly reducing any chance of food loss due to power interruptions or the door being left open. I am using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries for extended battery life and better performance in cold conditions. And although this sensor may seem a bit higher priced compared to other temperature sensors, it is specifically designed for use in refrigerators/freezers, and is actually a pretty solid value. This is a great refrigerator/freezer sensor and is fully compatible with the Ecowitt system...five stars all the way...highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *Updated 9/9/24 *by on Reviewed in the United States 18 August 2024* *** Update 9/9/24. We have had a couple of incidents where we thought the freezer was closed. It LOOKED closed. But it wasn’t completely. Today I got an alert the freezer temperature was at a certain point I set the alert up for. I had just been in it getting something for dinner. Went back down, sure enough it LOOKED closed, but it wasn’t. So happy I got these!So far at the time of this review, I’m impressed. It’s been working for about 9-10 days and I like what I see. My console is currently on the 3rd floor, and the sensor is in a standup freezer located on the first floor and no connection problems whatever. I bought it because recently we had a problem with a power surge that took out our Verizon box, and our freezer was on the same outlet. We had no idea the freezer was down (although we saw pretty quickly the internet was down! LOL). Luckily we caught it and ran an extension cord to the freezer since the outlet was blown from the surge. Based on the readings, I can even tell when someone opens the freezer to get something out!
