Need to run under a door** A: no **Q: Does it have to be turned off to be a surge protector?** A: no then it wouldn't work it has to stay on for it to protect Against any surges in electricity **Q: What is the AWG?, it says 15 amps but the cable looks to be 16 gauge or higher. 15 amps cable should be 14 gauge or lower** A: I don’t recall using this device. I read thru the specs and they mention the 5’ power cable, but not the AWG of the conductors. Working with the national electrical codes before retirement, for ampacity if it carries 15 amps, it has to be 14 AWG. Unless something changed after I retired. Good luck. **Q: Is there a guarantee? If my electronics get a surge while plugged into this device, do you replace it?** A: They won't replace your electronics they might replace the cord if there's something wrong with it but that's what renters insurance is for or Insurance period for your home ## Frequently Bought Together - Flat Plug Power Strip, Ultra Thin Extension Cord - Addtam 12 Widely AC 3 Sides Multiple Outlets, 5Ft, 900J Surge Protector, Wall Mount, Desk Charging Station for Home Office Dorm Room Essentials - 6 Ft Surge Protector Power Strip - 8 Widely Outlets with 4 USB Ports, 3 Side Outlet Extender with 6 Feet Extension Cord, Flat Plug, Wall Mount, Desk USB Charging Station, ETL,White - Surge Protector Power Strip - 8 Outlets with 4 USB (2 USB C) Charging Ports, Multi Plug Outlet Extender, 5Ft Braided Extension Cord, Flat Plug Wall Mount Desk USB Charging Station for Home Office ETL --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/738157577-flat-plug-power-strip-ultra-thin-flat-extension-cord-dzc](https://www.desertcart.no/products/738157577-flat-plug-power-strip-ultra-thin-flat-extension-cord-dzc) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
