Weighing just 10.1 ounces and measuring 8 x 1 x 1 inches, this jig is perfect for both home and professional use. With a 400 grit sharpening capability and a how-to video included, it offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for maintaining your tools. ## Description The 6" Deulen Sharpener is the answer to putting an edge on your jointer and planer knives. The key is the two brass blade holders inset into the hardwood handle. These tracks hold the blades securely and at the proper angle. With a blade in each track, it is a simply a matter of holding the handle and rubbing the blades against an abrasive surface. We recommend abrasive paper in a progression of grits from at 120 to 400 grit for final polishing. It couldnt be easier, and proof is performance. Yes, when done youll be able to shave hair off your arm, but the real payoff is performance. This is so easy to do, youll no longer put off sharpening your blades, your machine wont work as hard, and your wood surface will be smoother. Have more than two blades, no problem. Dan has worked out a system of alternating the blades that takes just a little more time but yields the same fantastic results. Each 6" sharpener comes with written instructions, a hex wrench and a short how-to video. Review: Quality product - This jig performed as advertised. Very easy to use. It comes with a how to video. The guy in the video is a little long winded but take 15 min to listen to what he has to say and you will know exactly what you need to do. Just go get one sheet each of 6 different grit sandpaper and start honing. Review: Check your angle - The item is good if your bevel angle is set the same as the jig. Mine was different and therefore the item will not do its job. Otherwise it's well made ## Features - Easy-to-use - Superior to professional sharpening service - Saves time and money - How-to video included ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004XAO3BA | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,422,846 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #3,971 in Sharpening Stones | | Brand | Deulen | | Brand Name | Deulen | | Color | Brown | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 15 Reviews | | Grit Type | 400 grit | | Item Weight | 10.08 ounces | | Manufacturer | DEULEN TOOLS | | Manufacturer Part Number | 6in Deulen Sharpener | | Material | Wood | | Material Type | Wood | | Model Number | 6" | | Number of Items | 1 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Deulen - **Color:** Brown - **Grit Type:** 400 grit - **Item Weight:** 10.08 ounces - **Manufacturer:** DEULEN TOOLS - **Material:** Wood - **Number of Items:** 1 ## Images ![FAVOREAL 6" Jointer/Planer Knife Sharpening Jig - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71f4vZYyBkL.jpg) ![FAVOREAL 6" Jointer/Planer Knife Sharpening Jig - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71RVUtlwkTL.jpg) ![FAVOREAL 6" Jointer/Planer Knife Sharpening Jig - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61uknx4nrtL.jpg) ![FAVOREAL 6" Jointer/Planer Knife Sharpening Jig - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/712B8GuKBdL.jpg) ![FAVOREAL 6" Jointer/Planer Knife Sharpening Jig - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cNRj+a-aL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality product *by D***T on January 5, 2013* This jig performed as advertised. Very easy to use. It comes with a how to video. The guy in the video is a little long winded but take 15 min to listen to what he has to say and you will know exactly what you need to do. Just go get one sheet each of 6 different grit sandpaper and start honing. ### ⭐⭐ Check your angle *by M***N on July 25, 2016* The item is good if your bevel angle is set the same as the jig. Mine was different and therefore the item will not do its job. Otherwise it's well made ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use! *by A***N on February 16, 2012* I have 3 sets of blades that needed sharpening & this tool seemed to be the best for sharpening without needing to send them out for over a week. Setting everything up is fast & easy. The only problem I have run into with it & why I didn't rate it 5 star is the angle is slightly different than the blades I have, so it is taking a lot longer to get them to the finer sand paper for the final honing. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/7361617-favoreal-6-jointer-planer-knife-sharpening-jig](https://www.desertcart.no/products/7361617-favoreal-6-jointer-planer-knife-sharpening-jig) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
