But it's also very good for cutting other things like trim molding or cutting drywall. Teeth go very near to the end so it's very easy to start the hole when cutting out drywall for wall outlets. I can get very straight cuts with this saw. Blade is super thin so it's great for making cuts with a small curf. Cuts through quickly. Just a great saw to have in yourvtool box. But I suspect that this blade replacement can be found for $10.99 at Amazon, by searching for Shark Corp 01-2204 Dowel/Dovetail/Detail Saw Blade. The pattern looks the same. Even the Shark 10-2204 saw looks the same. As someone else mentioned, I now see that for a few dollars more, I could buy a new saw. I thought this might be the case. **Q: I just need the blade MPS10189** A: Me too. Even called the manufacturer. They done sell just the blade. There some off names on Amazon that may fit. But last time I looked the price difference was not sufficient for me to take the chance. Good luck! **Q: Can this cut aluminum nicely?** A: These flimsy little saws are luck to cut soft woods without kinking the blade. I highly doubt you want to cut aluminum with it. **Q: Does it come with a case? On the downside, because the blade is so flexible--almost floppy--it's a bit hard to make a straight cut. The big problem, though, is that the tiny teeth break off easily. One of these saws lasts me about six months before it's useless. And although the blade is designed to be replaceable, Irwin doesn't sell spares. As others have pointed out, you can use Shark Corp 01-2204 blades, but for a buck more you could buy a whole new Irwin saw! That's irritating, but I still prefer to buy replacement blades rather than throw away plastic Irwin handles one after another. Besides, it's easy to keep spare blades on hand--which I strongly recommend. Trust me--unless you cut nothing but balsa wood, you're going to need them.
