However, the S2000 has a shorter battery runtime and it does not accept 18650 or 26650 batteries. **Q: Do you have to cycle all the light options to turn it on and off?** A: As of at least May, 2022, this light only has three modes. High, medium, and low power. IT DOES *NOT* HAVE A STROBE OR SOS MODE!!! Be aware of this when purchasing. The strobe and SOS modes have apparently been dropped from this model. At some time in the past, this was a five mode flashlight, but no longer. Just high medium, and low. The description doesn't discuss the modes, but older reviews indicate the flashlight used to have 5 modes. No longer suitable for my needs. I'm returning the flashlight. **Q: Does it turn on to the last used light setting?** A: If the light is off for more than something like 10 seconds, it will turn on at full power, not where it was last. I prefer it that way, but if you like a flashlight that stays on the last setting, that is a demerit for this model. **Q: Has anyone had one for two years? My experience is these things last a little over a year, never longer. And you can't buy extended warrantee.** A: We have had it now for just over two years. Use it every night when we take our dogs out after dark. We live back in the woods on 20 acres, with animals that would like to eat our dogs. So we are constantly shing into woods to scare away anything in the area, or at least see it from a distance. The flashlight is awesome, works flawless, we love it and would purchase again. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect emergency torch. *by on Reviewed in India December 24, 2023* It’s an emergency torch for one reason only: the tedious battery replacement/ charging. I paired it with Panasonic eneloop pro for good charge hold capacity. The brightness is good for the cost.Has lasted me over 4 months now.Build is very sturdy. The only drawback is the flimsy and cumbersome AA battery holder.A rechargeable option would have been wonderful. Also it cant hold Li-ion batteries. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great flashlight for home, garage & garden *by on Reviewed in Australia October 28, 2021* Not that it is used all the time - but when you need extra light this flashlight is brilliant. Its high quality and sturdy manufacture - made by USA company Gear Light. With 4 standard AA batteries - and LEDs - it lasts a long time.Very handy around the car, garage, and while working in the house... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product! *by on Reviewed in Singapore June 16, 2021* Item is very good and worth the price. ## Frequently Bought Together - GearLight S2000 LED Flashlight High Lumens - Super Bright, Powerful, Mid-Size Tactical Flashlight for Outdoor Activity & Emergency Use - First Aid Only 299 Piece All-Purpose Emergency First Aid Kit (FAO-442) - "IQ iScholar 15 Pocket Organizer, 12.2 x 11", Tabbed Dividers, Color Will Vary (39906)", Assorted --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/734678291-gearlight-high-powered-led-flashlight-s2000-brightest-high-lumen-light](https://www.desertcart.no/products/734678291-gearlight-high-powered-led-flashlight-s2000-brightest-high-lumen-light) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
