I'm trying to wire my new house for some security cameras and this is my first attempt at terminating cables. There were a lot of options but I know that Klein makes quality items and decided I'd "buy once, cry once". This kit is great and easy to use (at least once I figured out what I was doing). The cable stripper is really handy and the crimp tool works well every time. I appreciate the added bag - it's big enough for another set of wire cutters and a few other small tools. Crimper is slightly padded so it's easy to get a good crimp without hurting your hand. Makes for an efficient workflow.

Solid tools, all three serve their functions well, and the set covers stripping, crimping (male ends) and punching down (female ends). The crimping tool had a stripper built in as well, but it doesn't work as well as the dedicated stripper. It also has a nice cutter. Instructions are reasonably good for how to use the tools, you can fill in the concepts easily enough by watching a youtube how-to video. The instruction sheet includes full color pinout diagrams for common cable standards, nice touch. I am new to making patch cables and found this to be an ideal starter-set, it handled my residential Cat6 wiring project well. I have had some Klein electrical tools over the years that have proven to be really good values, and I think this set is another example. Recommended.

I bought these to help clean up the wiring for my home network. I’ve never made Ethernet or patch cables before but on my first try had a successful cable. Before I knew it I was shortening all my cables and hard wired everything to the network. I got so involved I had to install switches and buy more cable and ends. I have never had my cabinets wiring look so clean. The tools are all great quality, but I haven’t owned anything from Klein that wasn’t. The stripper speeds things up and doesn’t cut too deep. The tool is solid feeling and has smooth operation. Haven’t needed to use the punch down tool but it too is solidly built.

I wanted to run cat6 throughout my house. Needed to learn how to do that and what tools to buy. Being new to low voltage I just knew that I want to buy something that I can use whenever I need and it wont break. Being a klein it will be a great tool and Ive already installed 4 cat6 ports throughout the house and 2 security cameras. Worth the money!

This is a great value crimping tool. I have two small issues with the kit. The crimping tool has built in cutters that are supposed to be designed to cut off the excess wire at the end of pass-through connectors. For RJ 45 connectors the excess wire cutter on the crimping tool is absolutely useless. If you buy this kit you should also buy a very fine pair of telecom scissors to cut excess wire off as close to the RJ-45 connector as possible. The second thing that I disliked about this kit, Was that the punch down tool is not spring loaded. So every time you wanna punch down to Keystone Jack you have to put some pretty heavy force down on each of the terminals to really set the wire down in place. Also a lot of other spring loaded punch down tools have two different size heads for different size keystone jack Terminals. This punch down tool only had one size which I believe is for cat 5E and cat six cable only. Otherwise everything else is great, the crimping end of the crimp tool works flawlessly and the wire stripper does it’s job perfectly.

So happy to have this as a starter set for networking. This tools are quality and I was told they are some of the best brand to have. The handle on the crimper is soft and it ro feels comfortable in my small hands. The bag and RJ45s are a great bonus.

A very complete kit, very satisfied with the quality and the content. Certainly not up to par with the $150 kit, but works very well. Allowed me to wire my home network easily and a low cost. One must say that adding plugs to RJ45 wires takes patience and attention, so don't buy if you don't like electronics. Otherwise, a very good kit!

Excelente precio por este kit, ya que incluye la pinza ponchadora, un "pela cables" y además de una "punch down tool" que aunque no sea de impacto hace bien su trabajo. La calidad no hay más que decir, había comprado una marca Trendenet y me falló a los 2 meses, lamentablemente no lo pude regresar y opté por adquirir otras pinzas de esta marca. La calidad no defrauda, las pinzas son fáciles de usar, sin tanta presión hacen terminaciones firmes y funcionales, el pela cables es un gusto usarlo ya que corta bien el forro sin que dañe los hilos internos, sin duda lo recomiendo. 5+

Got as a kit to help recable some houses that had split pairs. Good kit, no problems.
