Would these be strong enough to be tied together and used as a rope for scaling a wall?

I found that with my socks tied together I couldn't move my feet sufficiently to climb the wall. I'm trying again tomorrow with a new plan involving tying them to a pogo stick.

why has this product switched from mostly cotton to polyester?...terrible!!

For what it’s worth, here is the product makeup for the two twelve-packs of these that I just received (January 3, 2020): Cotton: 79% Polyester: 16% Natural latex rubber: 3% Spandex: 1% Nylon: 1% It’s worth noting that the contents list is on a sticker affixed to the plastic packaging, not on the packaging itself. The sticker isn’t covering another contents list; I checked. This implies to me that the contents may change from time to time.

I have been buying hanes big and tall socks for about 20 years and were very happy with them. Now they are painfully tight. What happened ? Why ?

We had the same problem. My husband has also worn these socks for over 20 years and when I bought two packs of them in the store we had to give them to a young nephew because they were so small and tight. My husband is only a size 10, but has muscular calves so they are a little larger, he wore them one day at work and his feet were numb when he got home. They cut the blood circulation to his feet off. I was going to buy the larger size but I see that's not even going to help because they're going to be just as tight. Hanes what you're doing is ridiculous and sad. You're losing longtime customers.

How many socks come in this order?

Tommy klonicki is wrong. This order is 12 pair, which means 24 socks total.

Comfort and Value in a Bulk Pack of Socks

Comfort and Value in a Bulk Pack of Socks These Hanes Men’s Double Crew Socks turned out to be exactly what I needed for everyday wear. The pack comes with 12 pairs, which is great for stocking up without having to think about laundry quite as often. The fit is comfortable and true to size, with enough stretch to accommodate without feeling tight. The fabric feels soft against the skin but still substantial enough to hold up well throughout the day. What stood out to me is the balance between cushion and breathability. They’re thick enough to provide some comfort when standing or walking for long periods, yet they don’t make my feet overheat. After a few washes, they’ve held their shape without sagging at the top or losing elasticity. I also appreciate that the color and material don’t show a lot of lint or wear, even after repeated use. A small note is that while these socks are durable, they’re not meant to be heavy-duty work socks. If you’re wearing steel-toe boots daily, you might want something with more padding. But for casual wear, office shoes, or sneakers, these perform really well. Bottom line: A solid, reliable set of socks that deliver comfort and value in bulk—perfect for anyone who wants a dependable everyday option without overthinking it.

Ditching the crew sock logos for plain socks? Grab these

Finally moving away from the check logo on my socks for a more low key look. Search for a while for socks that are quality while not breaking the bank. This price for a pack of 12 brand new were great. They're lightweight and comfortable and sit on the leg really well. Chucked out all my old ones and just use these now!
