I got the cable version because I have a guitar case with holes that don't accommodate a normal hasp. Also works with zipper suitcases, or anything else that needs a deterrent (but not foolproof security).I'll bet you could pop one of these open with a pry bar or wire cutters, but that's true of every other luggage lock I've tried. It's nearly impossible to defeat a determined luggage thief. What's more important is that if the lock's cut or missing when when your bag rolls onto the carousel, you know immediately your luggage has been tampered with.
