The only issue is when we put it in the freezer the cubes all stick to each other but what do you expect when they are wet?! Its not very loud; the speed we get ice is fine (plan 30 minutes to get a large batch of ice, if you are like us and move it to the freezer to use later). Its really easy to use. And its easy to empty and dry out when not in use.
