(male to male, etc) I don't think you will need a timer per say, but when I wired up my front and rear cam (front on toggle switch, rear off backup lights) I had to use diodes (also found on here) to splice the power into the radio signal input. the diodes allow basically one way power, so you do not feed back to the other source, or over load your input on the radio. the rest is simply finding power sources for the cameras, and wiring them in.
