It's the perfect trainer because it's very durable and is equipped with exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology that helps to prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully. It also features Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced flight modes so you can choose the level of stability and control you need at the flip of a switch. The "pusher" power configuration and EPO construction make it more durable than other similar class models. Tricycle landing gear with oversized tires and a steerable nose wheel makes it easy to take off from and land on a wide variety of surfaces from pavement to grass – or you can install the optional floats (sold separately) to fly from ponds and lakes!FeaturesThe most durable and perfect trainer for first-time pilots and experienced pilots who teach others to flyEquipped with exclusive SAFE® technology that helps prevent crashes and makes it easy to learn how to flyBeginner, Intermediate and Experienced flight modes you can easily change between at the flip of a switchPanic Recovery mode at the push of a button to prevent loss of control and crashesIncludes almost everything needed to fly except for a compatible LiPo battery and charger (sold separately)Spektrum™ DXS controller/transmitter with industry-leading DSMX® 2 ## Features - The most durable and perfect trainer for first-time pilots and experienced pilots who teach others to fly - Equipped with exclusive SAFE technology that helps prevent crashes and makes it easy to learn how to fly - Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced flight modes you can easily change between at the flip of a switch - Includes almost everything needed to fly except for a compatible LiPo battery and charger (sold separately) - Spektrum DXS controller/transmitter with industry-leading DSMX 2.4GHz technology for reliable control without interference ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BS5PZ14M | | Additional Features | Portable | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Are Batteries Required | Yes | | Batteries are Included | No | | Battery Description | Lithium-Ion Polymer | | Best Sellers Rank | #430,266 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #947 in Remote Controlled Airplanes | | Brand | Hobbyzone | | Colour | Orange | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (227) | | Educational Objective | Teach and improve RC airplane flying skills | | Included Components | (1) Brushless Outrunner Motor (installed), (1) Spektrum DXS 2.4GHz DSMX® Transmitter, (1) Spektrum™ AR631 Receiver (installed), (1) Spektrum™ Avian™ 30A Brushless Smart Lite ESC (installed), (4) Sub-Micro Servos (installed) | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Dimensions | 100.3 x 28.2 x 27.1 Centimeters | | Item Type Name | Airplanes (RTF), Trainers | | Item Weight | 3.47 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Horizon Hobby | | Manufacturer Part Number | HBZ380001 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 14 years and up | | Material | Plastic | | Model Name | AeroScout S 2 1.1m RTF Basic with SAFE | | Model Number | HBZ380001 | | Number of Batteries | 1 Nonstandard Battery batteries required. | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Players | 1 | | Operation Mode | Remote Control | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Size | 39.5 inches | | Theme | airplane | | Toy Vehicle Form | Airplane | | UPC | 605482160206 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![HobbyZone RC Airplane AeroScout S 2 1.1m RTF Basic (Battery and Charger Not Included) with Safe Technology, HBZ380001, Airplanes (RTF), Trainers - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71WT8MgbJ-L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does anyone know if this airplane needs to be registered before flying?
