The front cover attaches to the back case via strong, built-in magnets, allowing you to instantly detach it for full hands-on access to your iPad whenever you want. And when you wish to reattach the front cover, the magnets enable an instant, auto-aligned attachment. **Q: Can it be used just with the protective back case?** A: Yes. The back case attaches magnetically to the front cover. This means that it can be instantly detached when you don't need the cover's functionality, making your iPad more portable and comfortable to hold while ensuring that it stays protected. **Q: Will my apple pencil still be able to charge with this case on?** A: Yes. The case has a side recess that lets you magnetically attach, pair, and charge your Pencil 2 with the case on. There is also an elastic storage pouch built into the back of the case that keeps your Pencil safe and secure when you're on the go. **Q: Since its magnetic, can i attach it to my metal fridge?** A: Yes. The back case has powerful built-in magnets to ensure a strong, secure magnetic attachment to your fridge, letting you watch videos and read recipes as you cook or do the washing up. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent achat, conseille fortement *by on Reviewed in France 17 May 2026* Très bonne tenue, excellente protection. Utilisation versatile. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I wanted to hate it but I ended up loving it *by on Reviewed in Australia 19 April 2025* I was very hesitant on this product original since it was very similar to another case that was listed as "premium" the brand called Z--U. This exactly the same thing, but SO MUCH BETTER! the magnets are very strong, I love the different angles I can lean my iPad, it gives the best drawing experience also since I mostly use my iPad as a drawing tablet.I ended up returning the "premium" case to opt for this one, and I wasn't disappointed.Only downside it's just a little bit heavy but the features of this case make up for it! ## Frequently Bought Together - ESR for iPad Pro 12.9 Case (6th/5th Generation, 2022/2021), Removable Magnetic Cover, Adjustable Portrait/Landscape Stand with Raised Display View, 9 Standing Angles, Shift Series, Black - Ailun 2 Pack Screen Protector for iPad Pro 12.9 Inch Display [2022 & 2021 & 2020 & 2018 Release] Tempered Glass [Face ID & Apple Pencil Compatible] Ultra Sensitive Case Friendly - ESR for iPad Pro 12.9 Inch Paper-Feel Magnetic Screen Protector 6th/5th/4th/3rd Generation (2022/2021/2020/2018), Write and Draw Like on Paper, Detachable and Reusable, Matte Finish --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/724303671-esr-shift-magnetic-case-compatible-with-ipad-pro-12-9](https://www.desertcart.no/products/724303671-esr-shift-magnetic-case-compatible-with-ipad-pro-12-9) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
