Jumbo Forest Animals

This is our second set of jumbo animals from Learning Resources (we have the jungle animal set- it's not so great) and I am so happy with these. I was really concerned because of the quality issues with our jungle set but my 23 month old had really loved these at our children's museum so my husband thought maybe we could try a different set and picked these. The size is great for toddlers and the owl and fox were much bigger than the picture made them look- proportional to the rest of the set but big enough for me to not have to worry about choking. The faces/paint jobs are realistic for the most part and my daughter absolutely loves playing pretend with them (we often have to take the bear with us when we run errands). Overall I'm really pleased with the quality of these, though they do still have flaws: the seams where they are put together being so obvious and the fact that you shouldn't submerge them as they have tiny holes. I would absolutely purchase this set again if something happened to our beloved bear and I would feel confident in purchasing this as a gift for someone's child.

Amazing,Perfect Size,Life-Like, Helped with Speech Therapy! These are exactly what I had been looking for at a good price! Most animal sets you find are cheap, extremely small, and not life-like (a recent animal package purchase at Wal-mart resulted in a miniature 1 inch tall solid blue pelican). These have been extremely helpful in engaging my son to talk. He can now name every animal and has begun to name their features (horns, tail, etc.). I would recommend these for all kids. They are a large size (even the owl is 4 inches tall) and won't get easily lost in the carpets-that is if your child puts them down for that long!

I am obsessed with the these animals. I have only one other set, the safari ones and now I have added the Forest ones. The set comes with various sizes of animals with usually 2-3 of them being larger than the others. My kids can destroy toys and these hold up beautifully! The quality is wonderful and the detail on them is great. They can be expensive IMO so I try to get them on sale or on lightening deals, but I am very happy with them, and will continue to add to our collection!

My grandaughter always loves these realistically molded plastic animals. I believe we have them all now, they are waterproof so no water leaks in to get moldy. These are larger than most its a handful for each animal for a toddler, the bear and moose are extra large in proportion to the owl, like real life, very good quality. These are great tub toys, pool toys or just playing on a table or floor toys, its a toy to show children exactly what these animals really look like and this type of toy is great for their imaginations. Children need more toys without batteries and hypnotizing them to the t,v.

My son got these for Christmas and likes to play with them. My only issue is they are BIG. Really, really big. I like that they are not so small that I have to worry about my next baby choking on them, but they are almost too big to play with. My son is 2 and they are so big that he has trouble holding the moose. He loves the owl and fox. The animals are good quality (although they smelled like plastic for the first few weeks but smell fine after being aired out for that long).

Great set of animals for toddler and preschool classrooms. Nice feel and very durable! Perfect for little hands!

Such great size animals! We got these for my son who is 15 months and he loves them! My daughter who is 4 plays with them as well. They are great for pretend play as well as learning species, habitat, etc. They seem to be very durable and sturdy. You can see the seam on them but it is not too obvious and doesn't bother me. I think the price is great considering most animals are just as expensive yet smaller.

These animals are excellent in every way. My 3 year old grandson loves playing with animals just like his uncle did when he was his age. I was trying to find animals like I got 35 years ago and I was about to give up until I found this set. The animals are large just what is needed for a 3 year old's hand. They are sturdy and they stand up perfectly. They are realistic in appearance. I definitely plan to check out Learning Resources again when I am looking for animals for toddlers and preschoolers.
