Cedar is non-toxic and drawing charcoal of any kind is generally non-toxic. There may be other ingredients in these pencils as well, but the package label states that it conforms to ASTM D-4236 and no mention is made of any toxic materials on the package. ASTM International (previously American Society for Testing and Materials) provides industry standards. You can go to their website to look up the D4236 standards for labeling art materials for chronic health hazards. If you still have any concerns after looking those over, you might want to give General Pencil a call. Their phone number is on the contact page on their website. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/70979300-2-pack-general-pencil-5582bp-charcoal-white-pencils-2-pkg](https://www.desertcart.no/products/70979300-2-pack-general-pencil-5582bp-charcoal-white-pencils-2-pkg) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
