I stopped using the product after 3 weeks, the chicory taste was awful , instead I started using ORZO BIMBO, a lot tastier, 100% toasted barley.. no extras All the best **Q: Does it contain sugar** A: Sugar is not included on the list of ingredients, so no added sugar. **Q: Is Barley cup gluten free** A: There’s nothing that convinces me that this is gluten free, given that the ingredients are barley and rye! **Q: What does this taste like? and do you need to add milk and sugar? I prefer black coffee with no sugar.** A: It doesn’t taste much like coffee but it has got an edge of bitterness like coffee. I have milk in mine. I’ve found both dairy milk and oat milk taste nice in it. I have had to give up tea and coffee for my health but I don’t mind at all because this is so nice. I think the aroma is very comforting perhaps because barley reminds us of beer, or possibly bread.
