Window Cleaning Robot
I used this once right after getting it, and I was honestly surprised by how well it worked. It’s one of those things you don’t realize you need until you try it, especially if you have big windows or spots that are annoying to reach. Setup was quick and simple, nothing complicated. I just got it going and let it do its thing. My windows had some dust and smudges, and it cleaned them up way better than I expected. It didn’t leave streaks, which is usually the most annoying part when you do it by hand. The spray feature actually helps a lot too. It doesn’t dump too much water, just enough to clean without making a mess. I also liked that it keeps charging while it’s working, so you don’t have to worry about it stopping halfway through if you’re doing multiple windows. At first I was a little unsure about using it on higher windows, but it sticks really well and feels secure. After watching it for a bit, I wasn’t worried anymore. Overall, it just makes life easier. No dragging out supplies or spending a bunch of time cleaning glass. Definitely worth it if you’ve got bigger windows or just don’t feel like doing it yourself.

Spidey powers, amazing results, does mirrors too
Wow! Great job. I have had this for about 18 hours and so far, it exceeds my expectations. Long review for those seeking more info about this great product, but hesitating. I own robot vacs, so not new to the experience. But because of those, I hesitated on getting one of these. The vac bots do well (not ecovacs, yet....) but have become very complicated and needy. Not the case with this bot. It and its app are quick to start to work, and simple to use! Set up the app first, it's quick. I have a 2 story home with over 25 windows. Some on 1st floor are nearly floor to ceiling. Takes a ladder to clean most- even inside. With bad knees, ladders aren't our friend - so I called a pro for an estimate- over $600 (inside & out). Nope, do it ourselves. This was a prime days deal, so with extra pads and ecovacs solution I was in at a little more than $500, beating the cost of a pro for one trip, but bot can do many more over it's 3-6 year life. It does a great job inside, though this larger bot can't do every window- some I'll still have to handle, but not enough for me to look at the smaller bot yet. Outside, fantastic cleaning, streaked one window because I didn't follow instructions and clean pad after each window, and mine were dusty. Fixed that by having a warm water/dawn solution in a small bucket followed by quick rinse. Inside, pad cleaning wasn't needed but about every 3-4 windows. It's about as loud as a vacuum on high power, so you won't want to use it in same room and try to watch TV. 😉 You also won't get to leave it for long - it's too fast for that. Cleaned my large windows on quick clean in about 4 min - on thorough same ones in about 6-7. Pros- no need for ladders -as long as you can reach the bottom part of a window well, simple setup and app, economically feasible over pros - comparable to self if using distilled water instead of solution - but less mess and work. Cons-this larger bot won't get my traditional mutton panes well, nor tiny windows (did still get two smaller ones, so check your window sizes compared to the bot size) - & look at the mini if you hav mostly very small windows. Docking station is a bit heavy, about 19 lbs, so moving the bot and station may be tough for some. Once in place, the bot itself is only about 3 lbs and has a handle. The back storage - and cleaner storage are convenient, but the back compartment is a little difficult for me to open- probably a me thing, but it is a little tough to pull out. And the door has to stay down if charging from the wall, I haven't seen a cord exit (notch to let the cords out while back door is up) making it less easy to move about, and a larger floor footprint while charging. To know- it pulls the cord out it needs from the dock, but the dock will need to be nearby. The bot isn't independent of it. But the dock can be charged so working with outside windows away from power is still possible. The cord easily retracts with a push of button to remove trip issues. Update, be sure to install app first. It works without, but you have more control with. Bot got stuck on door handles (glass door) and fought some (and lost some) on window blinds installed inside frame. App helps you watch for these and pause/remote control the robot instead of ending a job. I opted for the W2 pro Omni because it covered most windows and had the dock/portable power. Will look at a mini for future just because of smaller window possibilities and carry weight (not getting younger). Haven't tested upstairs yet, but the bot suction is very firm, so don't expect issues and look forward to clean windows without acrobatics there. Cleans inside and outside without much of a mess. Does have a few tiny drips, so I'd keep a small cloth nearby if you have delicate items (window sill/wood floors). I make more messes using water and a chamois. Outside, we'd have clean windows, but the patio, lawn, etc would be soaked as we sprayed water, climbed, cleaned, sprayed rinse water, repeatedly. Bot is much cleaner! Would recommend as a way to keep windows clean vs waiting for a year or scrambling to spruce up for visitors. The safety instructions say for residential only. I wouldn't hesitate to use on small buildings, but the cord length would stop work on high rises unless you could open the windows nearest the apartment. Overall, I highly recommend this if you have a lot of windows and don't like cleaning from ladders! Even without all my windows available, it will pay for itself in 2x over a pro; and probably about 4x over fancy extend-a-pole solutions (that will still drown your yard below). Perfect, not completely- but as good or better than what I can do - & a lot less work/much safer.

Window Robot That Delivers Strong Results (But Not Perfect)
This is my first window-cleaning robot, and the Ecovacs Winbot W2S has impressed me. I have the standard W2S model, not the W2S Omni with the portable battery pack. Its 26‑foot power cord (10 feet from outlet to the compound connector with the safety harness, plus another 16 feet) makes it easy to handle tall windows and outdoor glass railings. It’s a great tool for keeping windows clean between annual power washes. It doesn't deliver absolute perfection, but it makes a substantial difference with minimal effort. For most people, that’s what they need and want. Our tall windows and glass deck railings hadn’t been cleaned since Covid and were extremely dirty. I plugged the robot in indoors, ran the long cord out to the deck, and let it work. Over one afternoon, I ran roughly 40 “thorough” cycles (twice per side, per window, because the glass was so neglected). I wasn’t expecting spotless results or perfect navigation, but the W2S handled the job far better than I anticipated. I used the same cleaning pad for all these cycles (two pads are included). After each run, I rinsed the pad in the kitchen sink and hand wrung it out until no more water dripped. I also wiped down the blue edge‑cleaning wheels and the treads with a pet/baby wipe, since both collect a lot of grime. The W2S’s updated edge‑cleaning wheels and triple‑nozzle spray help it pick up dirt pushed outward by the pads during cleaning. It runs a dedicated edge pass at the end of the cycle to remove most of that buildup. The window corners still retain a bit of dirt, and the robot leaves a damp square impression where it detaches (sometimes that cleanly evaporates). The improvement in my window clarity and cleanliness was dramatic (see photos). Some Winbot owners report streaking, but I didn’t see any streaks during my use. To keep it that way, I plan to stick with the official cleaning pads ( like this ) and the official cleaning solution ( like this ). So far, I’ve only rinsed the pad with tap water between cycles. While the pad is slightly stained now, that doesn’t seem to affect cleaning performance. Therefore, I'm not going to wash the pad with soap or other cleaners in case that is why some customers see streaks. I only gave my W2S 4 stars because it experienced the occasional fault and had some limitations in my environment. It often doesn't return exactly where it started, so use the app's manual control if you can't reach it after the cycle. My glass railings are attached to the deck without a clear glass edge, so the robot gets confused and occasionally got stuck. It also got stuck on one of my glass doors (see video). When this happens, it doesn't complete the cycle with the normal edge-cleaning run. I also got a couple loss-of-pressure warnings in the beginning, but that may have been because I didn't accurately attach the pad before each run. After that, I spent more time carefully placing and positioning the pad across the velcro spots and didn't see that error again.

Amazing!!! Just when I had decided these were a gimmick!
I purchased a different cleaner which fell off the window almost immediately. I had nearly written these off as a gimmick, until I got this one, the middle expensive one! Amazing is what comes to mind. The suction is incredible, you can literally hear it. It cleans pretty damn well. I live in very hot Arizona and even though right now it's below their recommended temperature, I do give it a helping hand and go in front of it with spritzes of water as it sounds like it is struggling with a dry cloth. I also do not wring it out as dry as they say. I'm sure that will change over time depending on our climate. I love that I can get other chores done simultaneously, soecially inside where the temp is not an issue. If you have massive tall windows like ours, this thing is well worth the money!!! I haven't done the ones way up top yet, but they are next. Easy to use, easy to setup. Anything it leaves behind, if I can reach it, a little wipe cleans it right off. Or it's so insignificant I don't care! The edging isn't perfect, but that's okay with me too.

Cleans well, but sprayers frequently clog.
I’ve had this cleaner for a year now, so I think I can write a fairly comprehensive review. At the summary level, the cleaning quality is good. The microfiber cleaning cloths are pretty much streak-free and work well in tandem with the sprayers. But… Even when the spray system works, the spray pattern is sufficiently wide to where the machine bypasses some of the spray, which then leaves unsightly marks on the glass. The fix is easy, though hokey: start an edge cleaning after completing the cleaning cycle. The worst issue by far is that the spray system clogs if you store it more than a couple of weeks. Ecovacs’ advice for how to clean it is laughable: wipe the exterior of the nozzles with a soft cloth and if that doesn’t work, try to clean the nozzle with a pin. Really? Clean a micro nozzle with a pin? This is a well-known issue and the blogs cover it at length. The fix, such as it is, is to flush the reservoir with fresh water to remove any trace of cleaning fluid. And then - this is the key part - add some unflavored carbonated water to the reservoir and close the plug. The carbonic acid will not only clear any remaining scale, but the light pressure will force some of the water through the sprayers to ensure they’re clean. So. Cleans well enough. Sprayer system is ineffective and buggy. Ecovacs treats its customers like sheep.

Game Changer
I retired last year and decided to stop taking chances on ladders and other things that now seem more dangerous. So I bought this due to having 40 windows in my house and quite a few are very large. When the product arrived I downloaded the app, filled the reservoir, plugged it in, held it to the first window and turned it on. I was surprised how securely it attached itself to the window. The suction was great. Of course I stood under it in the event it fell, as I did not have a secure anchoring point that would have kept it from hitting the patio if it did decide to fall. It is bigger than I thought that it would be, but the way it navigates around square and rectuangular windows. while amazing, does not leave any unclean areas or streaks. It is not an overstatement to say that it does feel like a life-saver. The included storage case is very well built is very nice and allows for the product to be mobile and it looks great. It is a great value and I would buy it again.

Works as advertised. Paid for itself right away.
Awesome. Greatly exceeded my expectations. For context, I have a rural home on a hill with a lot of large windows. Placing ladders is very tricky. Getting a pro window cleaner has been near impossible. We got one offer for thousands of dollars. I decided to buy this thing. Whoa. Like, I was really impressed. Look- the clean isn't perfect. It leaves some streaks when there is heavy dirt (but less of you change the pads regularly). These usually go away on a second pass. The key here is that you can open a window on an upper floor and place it on the non-opening part of the window- no ladders. The app is a piece of cake to set up. We have clean windows for the first time in years after a weekend of "work" moving the robot around from window to window. I rarely review stuff, but this window robot SIGNIFICANTLY exceeded my hopes. A great purchase.

ECOVACS WINBOT W2S Omni Window Cleaning Robot
I purchased the ECOVACS WINBOT W2S Omni Window Cleaning Robot. 4 out of 5 stars since there is room for improvement. I used it exclusively on the default setting of "thorough". Amazon packed it in a huge box with no padding. The Winbot box inside was addressed to someone else and while the Winbot itself didn't look used, its outside storage/charging station had scratches and abrasions. The condition it arrived in was a little disappointing. Inside Windows: works great, sprays solution in a fan pattern that often overshoots above its downward decent, however it dried clear since I was using the provided solution (It might not dry as clear if you're using water with high mineral content etc.). Does not truly get tight to the edges on the setting I used, and sometimes drips develop on the spray nozzles that will drop onto your windowsill. For the inside windows I wanted to wipe it as soon as possible since they are wood. Also, on the corners of the Winbot are wheels that easily pick up any debris they encounter, these can not be taken apart to clean. My Best Advice: if possible, wipe edges of window prior to using Winbot, this keeps dead bugs, and spiderwebs etc. from being sucked into the corner wheels, making maintenance easier, and helping your machine last longer. Outside Windows: mine were very dirty, some of the issues I had would most likely not be a problem if I had cleaner windows or did a second pass. When placing the Winbot in a lower corner, it works its way to the top right then performs a back and forth zigzag pattern on its way down. Under each corner wheel is a fuzzy sensor foot that inevitably picks up dust from the window, not a big deal if it would end its run at the bottom of the window, but for some weird reason it always ends its pattern by doing one last, unnecessary, solo run back up to the top before it shimmies back down, creating a noticeable line of dust from its sensor feet. The solution: catch it when it's finished its last bottom line by touching the power button on the Winbot to end the cycle a little early. Or, clean the feet and pad and do a second run. The other issue I had with the Winbot on the outside windows, is that I have older, fixed windows, with low profile glazing beads. The Winbot didn't have issues at the top or sides, but it seemed to get hung up and struggle with suction when encountering the lower beading. Fortunately, these areas are all easy for me to reach and supervise, but something to be aware of. I also noticed that I needed to wipe down the area where the Winbot finished its run, since it would leave behind a dirty spot in the shape of the pad. This was probably because my windows were so dirty, but it's easy to reach since it always ends in the same place you attach it. My Best Advice: before starting, at least wipe the bottom windowsills if possible. If it's hot out, wait till your window is in the shade and/or it's cooler out. My windows are large and they were dirty, so I cleaned the pad between doing each window. Also, watch the cord! As the Winbot descends, the slack in the cord can wrap around things, best to keep an eye on it. Battery Power: Does not last as long as advertised and takes a long time to charge. The Winbot can be used continuously if plugged into an extension cord, but I was hoping the battery power would last longer so that I didn't need to drag around an extension cord. My windows are about 4' x 7' and I was able to clean 7 surfaces before it was completely out of charge, then it took about two hours to recharge the battery. Speed: Much faster than I thought. One side of a 4' x 7' window took about 3-4 minutes. Noise: Much quieter than I thought. Sounds like a quiet vacuum. Verdict: I'm keeping it. So much easier than ladders, squeegees and buckets of solution. And it does a good job. Occasionally I will need to get on a ladder if I want to do detail work, but I'm very happy with it overall. Video shows the sound it makes, demonstrates how well it cleans, and shows that it doesn't quite get the edges (though the "edge mode" might do a better job, but I don't see how). The photograph shows the dirt left behind when removing the Winbot. It's easy to wipe off with a cloth and cleaner.

Reliable and convenient window cleaning helper
I’ve been using the ECOVACS WINBOT W2S Omni for a short time now, and overall I’m very satisfied with the performance. Setup was straightforward, and the multifunction station keeps everything organized and easy to manage. The cleaning coverage is quite good. The TruEdge feature helps it get close to the window edges, and the triple wide-angle spray seems to distribute the cleaning solution evenly. My windows look noticeably clearer after each run, especially on larger glass panels that are usually a hassle to clean manually. I also appreciate the safety features and dual power modes, which give some peace of mind when the robot is working on higher windows. Noise level is reasonable and the operation is mostly hands-off once it starts. I also try it on the door, it works some times depending on the material surface. Overall, a solid purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking to simplify window cleaning at home.

The Ultimate Window-Cleaning Solution: An Honest Review of an Expensive Window Robot
Pros: Exceptional Cleaning Performance: The robot leaves windows remarkably clean, with no streaks, smears, or marks. Time and Effort Saver: It significantly reduces the effort and time required for window cleaning, especially for high or difficult-to-reach windows. Safety: It eliminates the need to climb ladders for cleaning upper-story windows, making the task much safer. Efficient Water Usage: The robot uses very little water to achieve a clean finish. Effective on Large Windows: It's well-suited for cleaning a large number of windows, both inside and out. Manual Control: The user can manually control the robot like a "joystick" on their phone for non-standard window shapes. Secure Attachment: The suction is strong and reliable, providing peace of mind when using the device on outside windows. Worth the Price: The reviewer feels the expensive cost is justified by the product's performance and convenience. Cons: Not a UK version: The specific "Pro" version mentioned is not available in the UK, which could be an issue for other potential buyers in that region. Size Limitation: The robot is too large for small windows, requiring the user to clean them manually. Automatic Program Limitations: The automatic cleaning program does not work on non-rectangular or non-square windows. The user must switch to manual control for these.

Saubere Fenster
