I don't use this stuff when I am a bit sore, I use this stuff when I am so sore Icy-Hot, Morin, and everything else does nothing. When nothing else can touch my pain, this does. It burns, especially if the skin it is on is constricted such as under tight clothing or laying on it. When you're in serious pain the burn is good and gets me moving when nothing else will. If you don't have serious pain, well, look at the 1-star reviews.

Used this for pinched nerve problem in my leg. It did not burn when I put it on, or during the day, all day... I was so happy. But the next day my leg was burning and itching so bad I had to use ice packs all day long just to deal with it. As for its pain-reducing effect, I didn't really feel any measurable improvement during my rather long and uncomfortable ordeal with this product. Capsaicin is definitely not for everyone, unfortunately! And no matter how careful you are, it DOES get on your hands, then your face, eyes... and it stays IN your skin even after you wash your hands. It's impossible NOT to get this stuff everywhere! Warning "be careful" is just ridiculous... this stuff is nasty.

This works wonders for neuropathy! My Dr said to use lidocaine first then Capsaicin over it and my feet then allow me 7 good hours of sleep!

I was a little nervous to try this after reading all the comments about how painful it was, but after using it myself I was honestly wondering how low everyone’s pain tolerance could possibly be. 😂 Not judging — I just genuinely don’t know a world without pain. My fellow hEDS/chronic pain people: to me this was basically a mild inconvenience compared to an average day. It itched a little at first, but that was about it. I was actually much more worried about it irritating my sensitive skin, and thankfully I had no issues there. As far as actually helping my chronic pain, though, I can’t say it really did much for me. I definitely felt the heat/tingling sensation, but it didn’t make a noticeable difference in my pain. Then my husband tried it. 😂 He doesn’t have chronic pain but wanted to see what all the reviews were talking about. I put a small amount on him around 6 PM. His skin got really red almost immediately after applying it, although at first he said he didn’t actually feel much. He went to bed around 1 AM, and the next morning told me it had gotten so uncomfortable during the night that it kept waking him up. I don’t even know how he was still feeling it that many hours later, especially since we only used a small amount. Meanwhile, I had put it over basically my entire back THREE times throughout the day and was completely fine. 😭 So apparently my chronic-pain-person opinion is not the best measurement of how intense this is going to feel to everyone else. I also noticed that pressure or friction seems to make the heat feel stronger. When I leaned back against the couch, I could definitely feel it intensify, so I’m wondering if lying in bed and moving around is part of why it bothered my husband so much overnight. One other thing I noticed: it started working much faster on my neck than on my back, so the sensation may also vary depending on where you apply it. I know this is a long review, but I was hesitant to try it because of all the scary reviews, so I wanted to give as much detail as possible in case someone else is in the same boat.

I actually use this on the side of my foot where I have a tad bit of neuropathy - someone suggested this for that particular issue. It does help a lot, so now I'll start trying it out on my various arthritic aches.

Im sure it helps for some folks but OW. Not me i tried it as i went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night tryna get the burn off. Mistakenly used water first which makes it worse. Certainly an experience to feel like you are burning alive but there is nothing on your skin that is even red. Used some jojoba oil and laid a cold washcloth on the spot and it was manageable enough within 2 hours to go back to bed. Never gonna use it again, other than letting people try it who dont believe me cuz thats fun. But the product do not lie. Im just not built for it. Also cant imagine using a version that isnt roll on. Best to keep it off ur hands.

Best amount of capsaicin I could find. I appreciate the relief and convenience of a rollon.

Beware this product caused an allergic reaction causing coughing and sneezing whenever I tried to use it and burning feeling in skin. I was trying to find a similar product to another that I was using that helped my pain, but this one is terrible and causes other issues. It is non refundable so I would advise not to buy this product. Also, if you have pets they will cough and sneeze when they come close to you if at all.
