Barilla Snowfall Pasta, Non-GMO Kosher Pasta, 12oz.

I was so excited to find this Barilla Snowflake pasta because the limited-edition shapes always sell out right when it hits the shelves in our local grocery stores. The snowflake shapes are perfectly shaped right out of the box, and there are several different designs mixed together, which I love because it reminds you of how real snowflakes don’t all have the same design. My kids had fun looking at all the different snowflake designs in the box. What impressed me most is how well it cooked. The majority of the snowflake shapes held their shape perfectly, which honestly surprised me. A lot of shaped pasta, even from well-known brands, tends to break apart while cooking or when you mix in sauce, but that didn’t happen with these shapes. The texture came out just right, and nothing turned mushy or crumbly! I made it with a basil pesto Alfredo sauce, and it tasted amazing. The pasta actually tasted just as good as the regular Barilla pasta shapes that I normally buy. I don’t know how that was possible because a lot of novelty-shaped pasta changes the texture or flavor once it’s cooked, but this one didn’t at all. It still had that classic Barilla taste and quality. Another bonus that I loved about this limited-edition pasta is that the pasta would be perfect for Christmas arts and crafts with kids. You could easily dye the snowflake shapes different colors and glue them onto paper to make snowflake art projects, holiday cards, or decorations. That makes this item well worth the money for it because you can use it for other things and not just in the kitchen. The packaging is festive and sturdy. The box was still sealed perfectly when I got it. I like that there’s a little gift-style tag on the side of the box. It would be cute in a holiday gift basket for someone that likes to cook. Overall, this is a limited-edition pasta that’s not just cute, but very high quality. I would absolutely buy it again during the holidays and highly recommend it for cooking or for arts & crafts projects.

Absolutely adorable shape for crafts or soup to share with friends. We all know Barilla makes a great pasta, and having these in shapes just makes for EXTRA fun! Tasty and a trustworthy brand!

These snowflake pasta taste just like any other basic Barilla pasta, which is fine. They hold their shape very well through cooking and serving. Cook time was within the timing listed on the box at high plains altitude - somewhere between above sea level and a mile up. The shape was fun. It was good with basic marinara and with a chunky meat and tomato non-sauce.

I purchased these to paint for the sensory table in my PreK classroom. There are 3 different shapes. They turned out great.

Ugh. I was SO EXCITED when I finally found the Barilla snowflake pasta actually in stock here on Amazon. Unfortunately, I ordered it with some other food items/specifically a heavy case of soda, and the snowflake pasta was packaged in a box with the case of soda. I typically LOVE AMAZON PRIME DELIVERY SERVICES… however, the heavy weight of the soda and other items, did a number on my snowflakes. They weren’t all completely destroyed, but the majority were broken and in pieces, no longer resembling the snowflakes I so desired for my winter dishes. Thankfully, all the shifting and crushing didn’t spoil the taste. Barilla is my favorite pasta, it never disappoints in terms of its consistent flavor(kind of buttery), and texture (deliciously chewy when prepared to a proper al dente). My snowflakes don’t quite appear as snowflakes, but again, the taste never disappoints. Each snowflake size would have been about an inch in diameter, “bite-sized” to perfection, ideal for those comforting dishes of winter! The price of Barilla also can’t be beat, it’s a great product and always well worth the price-even better if you can find it on sale. It’s typically very shelf stable, I can keep several boxes on hand for months without it becoming stale. Each 2oz serving(6 per box) equals 200 calories, 1g fat, 0% sodium, 1g sugar, 7g protein and 0% cholesterol. Definitely not a bad choice for those healthy minded individuals!

This pasta was such a fun and cute addition to our winter dinner! The snowflake shapes are adorable and made the meal feel a little extra special, especially for the kids. The pasta cooked well, held its shape nicely, and tasted just as good as regular Barilla pasta. It’s perfect for holiday meals, cozy winter dinners, or just adding a little fun to mealtime during the colder months. Definitely something I would buy again for the season!
