Indoors it works as it should, as I tentatively sat my 17 stone posterior on it. Lighter than I thought so hopefully I don’t get arm ache using it. I think I’ll probably look more like an ageing old man with it rather than a “ English man in New York”, but hope to get lots of empathy. Perhaps it will stop people asking me to do lots of physical jobs for them 😃. I’ll have to get over that initial self conscious state using it out and about. I think it has the appearance more of a folded umbrella rather than a walking stick(or a shotgun-to deter muggers 😉). I went for the Pro 2 as I thought I’d go for the best and it looks as though it’s built to last for someone of my weight, although I can understand those wanting the MK1 model for its slender looks. It’s not cheap but as it’s a one off purchase and you want the best, you pay your money and take your choice. The Pro 2 alleviates the concern about its length as it’s adjustable. I’m 5’ 10” and the middle setting seems perfect and so it should accommodate those of lesser height than me and those around 6’, albeit people have different arm lengths etc. I don’t go out of my house much being 70 and a bit seized up. I also get out of breath and knee, back and muscle pain kick in after a short distance (👂where are those violins coming from? 🙂). I’m hoping my new ‘cane’ will allow me some walks in the park etc during the warmer weather, as I will need to use it to have a nice sit down after a short distance. I’ll see if my walking range improves as I continue to use it-as people keep telling me it will (if I just get off my lazy backside 🙂). Lastly the extra cash gives you an unfolding lever to hang the thing up. It also has a mobile phone holder as no one can go for more than 5 minutes now without wanting to use their phone. I can imagine a passer by of lesser repute doing a swipe and run to alleviate you of the habit. I think I’d have designed it for the phone alone, as I use mine in a folding wallet, but it requires you use one of those simple protective surrounds-which admittedly a lot of people have. So in conclusion-I’m very pleased with it so far and looking forward to taking it for a test run-from the boot of my car 😊. Review: Awesome piece of kit - Awesome piece of kit! Sturdy, light, portable, foldable. Very glad we bought it. ## Features - VENTURE OUT - Whether its hiking, camping, queuing or simply travelling, the Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO walking stick can be transformed into a convenient, forward-leaning tripod stool virtually anywhere to rest weary legs and take in the surroundings - LIGHTWEIGHT YET STURDY - Primarily constructed from aircraft-grade aluminium alloy, the Series 2 PRO weighs 1.1 kg, and has undergone rigorous stress-testing with a repeat-load capacity of up to 136 kg (European EN 581 standard, SGS certified) - EASY TO USE - The stool features an umbrella-like push-to-open design that can expand in under a second from a compact walking pole profile into a 3-panel wide 23cm x 26cm solid seat that locks out at an ergonomic height 50 cm above ground - PRO EXTRAS - The D-shaped handle features a concealed phone holder & hanging hook, while anti-slip rubber feet help with slippery surfaces (additional feet can be ordered separately should the originals become worn); Includes a full-length storage sleave - ADJUSTABLE LENGTH - The Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO stick length can be adjusted from 85 to 93 cm (5 settings), making it suitable for most 155cm to 192cm tall users; Note user height guidelines may not apply to all body types, max. load 136 kg ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CB3XZPCG | | Base Material | Aluminium | | Best Sellers Rank | 3,952 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) 32 in Camping Chairs | | Brand | STEP2GOLD | | Brand Name | STEP2GOLD | | Colour | Green | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 736 Reviews | | Extended Length | 93 Centimetres | | Extended length | 93 Centimetres | | Folded Size | 33.5'' | | Hand Orientation | Both | | Handle Material | Aluminium | | Handle material | Aluminium | | Included Components | 1 x TA-DA Chair | | Item Dimensions W x H | 15.5W x 85.1H centimetres | | Item Weight | 1140 Grams | | Lock Type | Quick | | Manufacturer | STEP2GOLD | | Manufacturer Part Number | 12692(Black) | | Material | Aluminium | | Material Type | Aluminium | | Maximum Height Recommendation | 93 Centimetres | | Model Number | 12692(Green) | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 2 | | Product Warranty | 2 years | | Shaft Material | Aluminum | | Shaft material | Aluminum | | Size | One Size | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** STEP2GOLD - **Material:** Aluminium - **Colour:** Green - **Shaft material:** Aluminum - **Extended length:** 93 Centimetres ## Images ![Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO - Walking Stick with Seat, Lightweight Aluminium Pole Frame & Sturdy Foldable Stool (up to 136kg), Easy Folding Design, Ideal for Hiking & Outdoors - Adjustable - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71rBXjkDnwL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What should I know before purchasing?** A: Please refer to the size range and choose based on your situation. Stop using or purchasing the product if you find it challenging to (1) maintain a comfortable and stable sitting balance or (2) sit down or stand up and need assistance from others. **Q: Can I sit comfortably in this chair?** A: Kindly Reminder: 300LB Weight Capacity. The seat height is fixed at 19.6 in (50cm) for all sizes and the seat is relatively small compared to an ordinary chair. It is mainly for a short rest after a long period of walking or standing. **Q: Why are the people in the product pictures sitting backwards with the handle in front? Can I sit in a different way?** A: Our design requires the sitting position shown in the pictures. This is to ensure stable use and prevent the risk of falling. The chair has an ergonomic design, as you can feel the flexibility while sitting down. **Q: Is it TSA approved as a carry on?** A: It's suitable for traveling and serves as a portable cane chair when you tired but can't find a seat. It's advisable to contact the airline without any issues, as the regulations and policies can vary between different airlines. **Q: What should be considered about the weight of the product?** A: Our product is designed with strong, lightweight, and durable materials; however, it is relatively heavier compared to standard canes as ours is equipped with a seat for use. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will I get some stick? *by M***4 on 29 March 2025* Not tried it outside yet as I’ve just received it. Sturdy, light, portable, foldable. Very glad we bought it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality well designed item... just let down by the hard seat *by D***R on 31 August 2026* I wanted something convenient to sit on whilst attending a golf tournament. This followed the previous year when I didn't take anything and stood or sat on the grass for around twelve hours which soon became tiresome. I read various reviews before purchasing this and went ahead. The item soon arrived and generally was pleased with it. It is convenient, versatile, lightweight, quick to deploy and return back to the stick form. I used it on and off for the whole day I was out and initially was very pleased with it... and even pleased with the Mobile phone holder which is just in the right position to view and use whilst following the leader board and keeping track of who was playing each hole. My only criticism and something other reviewers have mention is the hard seat... it is just very hard plastic. Whilst it allows you to take the weight off your feat and is stable... sitting on it for any longer than half an hour at a time does become a little painful. Although for my intended purpose I moved around quite a bit so there were not many spells that I sat on it for so long... just noticed it was time to stand for a while when I did! To sum up... it is a good quality and well made item, albeit a little on the expensive side. I appreciate the effort that went into the design... it would just be better with a seat that was a little more cushioned. I guess it is easy rectified with a cushion and for short time use it is perfect. I'm happy with my purchase... as to whether I use it for a similar purpose next time... may be... depends if I find something equally as compact and a little more comfortable for longer periods of sitting. ## Frequently Bought Together - STEP2GOLD Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO, Portable Trekking Hiking Pole, Folding Walking Stick with Seat, Walking Cane with Chair, Foldable Chair, Lightweight Aluminum, Easy Carry and Storage, Anti-Slip - STEP2GOLD Rubber Feet Replacement Kit for Ta-Da Chair Series 2 & Series 2 PRO, Non-Slip Foot Cover, Foot Pad - Black - STEP2GOLD Ta-Da Chair Series 2- Portable Walking Stick, Cane with Seat, Foldable Chair, Hiking Stick, for Camping, Hiking, Lightweight Aluminum, Easy Carry, Anti-Slip --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/686508564-ta-da-chair-series-2-pro-walking-stick-with-seat](https://www.desertcart.no/products/686508564-ta-da-chair-series-2-pro-walking-stick-with-seat) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
