Then yes, it's ok, but the frequency is no changing, as UMI product is voltage converter only. **Q: Does it convert 50hz to60hz** A: Hello. The UMI step down voltage 220v to 110v converter can work on both frequencies. It is not a double conversion device. The voltage converter will put out the same Hz as you put in. A transformer changes the voltage, not the frequency of the current supplied by the mains. The "mains" is the public supply of electricity. Some systems use 50 hertz frequency, others 60 hertz. Some appliances are designed to function on both frequencies but either exclusively on 110-120 volts or exclusively on 220-240 volts. Some work on both frequencies and both types of voltage. Almost all of appliances work on both frequencies. That's why transforming voltage is sufficient for most appliances. If in doubt, check the frequency of the mains and see if it is within the specifications of the appliance. If it says 50 Hz to 60 Hz, That would be OK. Any questions with our products or step up step down voltage converter please feel free to contact us. Thanks for your trust and support! **Q: Does this work for smart and timed devices? Such as a rice cooker or a slow cooker with an automatic timer?** A: Yes, of course it's ok, just making sure the devices need 110V and power consumption is within the converter's capacity. ## Frequently Bought Together - UMI Step Down Voltage Converter 800 Watts 220V to 110V for US Canada Japan Electrical Appliances Use in Europe and Asia 220-240v Power System - Adopt Toroidal Transformer - Stable and Safe - UMI 2000W Step Down Voltage 220v to 110v Converter, Heavy Duty Power Converter, Power Transformer with Auto Mode for Large Capacity Equipment, Step Down 220v to 110v - US to Europe Voltage Converter - UMI Step Down Voltage Converter, 220V to 110V, 500W, Good Transformer for Overseas Travel --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/685989853-umi-800w-step-down-voltage-converter](https://www.desertcart.no/products/685989853-umi-800w-step-down-voltage-converter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
