Weighing only 0.12 kg and made from durable aluminum, it offers a lightweight yet robust solution for cyclists seeking optimal performance and compatibility. ## Description The Kinetic Traxle is a precision-machined replacement axle for mountain bikes that easily adapts any 12mm thru-axle system to firmly lock into trainer cone cups. Specifically engineered to work on Kinetic trainers, the system is still adaptable enough to work with most other trainer brands making it a perfect solution for bike shop fitting stations and home-use alike. The Kinetic Traxle comes in 3 thread pitches, coarse, medium and fine, to fit most bike brands. Unlike stock thru-axles, the Kinetic Traxle has tapered heads that stand out just far enough from from the bike frame to fit into the cone cups on a Kinetic trainer. Bike frame manufacturers determine thread pitch on their frame sets. It's important to know which thread pitch your bike uses before ordering a Traxle. For instance, DT Swiss makes axles based on manufacturer specifications not a standard single thread pitch, so refer to bike manufacturer to determine which Traxle you need. Compatible with Shimano rear axle designation including (but not limited to): Pivot, Yeti, Bianchi (14), Rocky Mountain, BH, Redline, Giant 27.5 models, Diamondback Models; Scapegoat, Slopestyle, Mission Series, Sortie 29 Series. Review: Just in time for winter - I just bought a new Quintana Roo PRfour and needed this adapter for my Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. I needed to use both of the smaller spacers on the axle, but it works perfectly on the trainer. Have used it several times now, and it's rock solid. Very easy to install, literally within seconds. (I think it's easier that using the skewers!) Quality component, well machined, perfect fit. Would buy again. Review: It works perfectly. The only issue I have is ... - It works perfectly. The only issue I have is it seems overpriced for what you get. The owner of the local bike shop was going crazy trying to find one that fit my Bianchi bike. I guess when you hold all the trump cards, you can charge whatever you want. Still, it fits perfectly and I use my bike on my Kinetic trainer 60% of my riding time. ## Features - Fits Shimano rear thru axles - 12mm diameter x 1.5 thread pitch - For medium-threaded 12mm thru-axle systems including: Shimano SM-AX75, SM-AX65 142mmx12mm ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00FJGWY0O | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,549,203 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #562 in Bike Resistance Trainer Accessories | | Brand | Kinetic by Kurt | | Brand Name | Kinetic by Kurt | | Case Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Color | BLACK | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 284 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00851061001198 | | Item Weight | 0.12 kg | | Manufacturer | KIQ7N | | Manufacturer Part Number | T-2102 | | Material | Aluminum | | Material Type | Aluminum | | Model Number | T-2102 | | Mount Type | Braze-On Mount | | Mounting Type | Braze-On Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 851061001198 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Kinetic by Kurt - **Color:** BLACK - **Item Weight:** 0.12 kg - **Material:** Aluminum - **Mounting Type:** Braze-On Mount ## Images ![Kinetic Traxle - Thru Axle - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61cvUSoyESL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this fit a Fugi Cross 1.7 Cyclocross 2018 46 cm** A: It will fit any 12mm thru axle bikes that do not have boost spacing. **Q: Does this fit a cycleops fluid 2?** A: I have the Cycleops Fluid 2 trainer. I also have a REI ARD 1.3 road bike which has a thru axel. I bought this axel to put on my bike to use with the trainer. My bike didn't fit at first but I contacted customer service and got a shorter kicker bar to put on the trainer and now my bike fits perfect. **Q: Can you use this as your main thru-axle for riding outdoors as well, or do you have to swap it out everytime you switch from indoor to outdoor riding?** A: Unless you carry an 18mm socket or wrench with you (the non-drive side has an 18mm nut), you're going to want to swap out the Kinetic Traxle for your OEM one. **Q: I need to find a rear axle for my spealized diverge 2019 comp to fit on my cycle ops wind trainer. Just need to know which one is the best size?** A: The 2019 Diverge Comp has the same rear axle as my 2018 Roubaix Comp, 12x142mm x fine thread 1.0 pitch thru-axle. Order Traxle fine 2100. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just in time for winter *by T***Y on October 31, 2019* I just bought a new Quintana Roo PRfour and needed this adapter for my Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. The owner of the local bike shop was going crazy trying to find one that fit my Bianchi bike. I guess when you hold all the trump cards, you can charge whatever you want. Still, it fits perfectly and I use my bike on my Kinetic trainer 60% of my riding time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I was looking for *by D***. on June 21, 2021* I bough this to use my 2021 Scott Addict with has 12 x 142 thru axle on an old style turbo trainer, very important to check the thread pitch on your bike, my manual said 1.5, so this fit perfectly, did not need to use a wrench, made up easily by hand. Very important to check this is compatible with the thread pitch on your bike, if it is wrong and you use a wrench to make it up, it may damage the threads on your bike. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/6816659-kinetic-traxle-thru-axle](https://www.desertcart.no/products/6816659-kinetic-traxle-thru-axle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
