Gel Grip

I have been using these pens for years. They are very comfortable in my hand and write smoothly without ink “pooling” on the tip.

Fine point, nice flow, easy to use, smooth

Theses pen are everything smooth writing only thing they don't last long but are so comfortable to grip

The 0.7 Uni-ball Gel Grip leaves a bold, unmistakable line, far superior to the thin and wispy wake left by the 0.5, or the fat, sloppy skid mark of the unwieldy 0.9. Best of all, the Uni-ball Gel Grip is not filled with actual ink, but free-trade, liquefied, Madagascar cobalt, a far safer & responsible alternative for anyone who likes to chew on their writing implements. The pen writes in a vibrant blue, perfectly suited for an object that needs to stand out from the clutter of a desk drawer or the cacophony of the modern office environment. Unlike those completely slick plastic pens that press hard into the web of your hand, the Uni-ball Gel Grip's circumference is comprised of soft rubberized foam, which dramatically reduces fatigue, and makes writing for extended periods an absolute delight. In a world overrun with plastic and high tech gadgets, isn’t it comforting to know that some things haven’t evolved into something overly complex and completely unrecognizable? Pens with normal ink are fine for memorializing contracts, but real progress relies on the ability to express new ideas in new ways. Archimedes said he could move the world with a lever long enough, but when it came to proving it, he needed a good pen to make the point. This pen brings back my own life's memories: my first legible signature, my first book report, my first crossword puzzle, and of course, my first love letter. It brings back to me a little tear when I remember the innocence of my youth, scribbled out on a piece of notebook paper with all the hope and passion a desperate 6th grader could muster...courtesy of a Uni-ball Gel Grip pen. We call it a pen, because all things need a name. But today, let’s call it what it really is: A time machine. A match maker. A magic wand. And let’s say it can all be yours...for just a buck a pen.

I really like the smooth and fluid writing action of this pen, and the even application of ink with all different strokes. It loses all those characteristics when the ink runs low, which stands to reason, and it does run low after what feels like pretty modest use. I grab a new one at that point. retire the old one to the drawer with lots of retired pens and I figure I'll clean out that drawer when I move someday. Here's the coolest thing about the UNI-BALL Gel Grip Stick: it's perfectly weighted! Yeah, it's ideally weighted for writing, not too heavy or light in your hand, weighted real nice for that. But it's perfectly weighted for twirling! You know, for doing that pen spinny thing you occasionally see people do. I have a hybrid move of my own, rather proud of it. My pen spins on my thumb like a helicopter blade, passing over my thumb nail in a full revolution and coming to rest in its original.position. So cool! At a certain point in its circular motion atop my thumb it's totally exposed to gravity, imperfect axis and pitch, really, all the natural forces just itching to send it astray. That ends with the sound of a pen falling on a desk. It's not terrible but it can be a sharp and momentary distraction during a conversation. For example, imaginge a pen falling on a desk three or four times per minute during a business meeting... probably irritating. I used to twirl my pen cautiously and stop after the first spill to avoid irritating the room. Now I can twirl for entire meetings when I'm on a roll, when I've got the crazy mojo workin! Right hand only at this point, still learning with my left in the privacy of secluded rooms. Man, just thinking about it, how cool would that be to get those pens twirling on both sides, like a kind of whacky and dangerous office cowboy pen twirlin inkslinger!! "I heard there's contract trouble in these parts..." So to recap: - Excellent flow, stroke and output on a full tank; 5 stars - Scratchy writing and thin/faded output when ink runs low, which seems rather quickly; 3 stars - Elite level pen spinny thumb twirly finger baton acrobatics capabilities, utterly peerless, everybody else is just playing for second place; 73 stars

My husband writes for a living and had to take a lot of notes at meetings over the many years he worked. These are the only pens he will use even in his retirement. They write smoothly and flow evenly on the paper. He loves them.

These pens are easy to hold, they write smoothly and the ink does not smear. I recommend them for anyone who does a lot of long hand writing or just for people who keep a pen handy to fill in a form or jot a few words. I buy both the red and the blue and I wish they came in other pretty colors such as pink, turquoise, green, orange etc.

This is my first time trying the Uni-ball Gel Grip Stick pens. I've used the retractable version before and wasn't impressed. So I've always stuck by my trusty Pilot G2s since every color works well. I started to use blue a lot lately for work and not for just writing purposes. A lot of times I have make comments, edits on memos or papers...and the blue ink from the Pilot G2 is dark and almost navy in color. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish from black which is not really good when I'm making comments on other people's work. So I went looking for a brighter ink. I first tried the retractable version of the Uni-ball but the ink in those were dark and the pens skipped a lot. I threw those away and went back to Pilot. But I started to want to find another pen again and luckily found this. It was the last pen I tried out at the office supply store. I'm glad I gave Uni-ball another shot. The ink in the stick pens is bright and vivid, smooth and skip-free. It's just what I was looking for. I usually don't get sick pens because I lose interest in them when the caps get lost, but since these will be in my office only, its a non-issue. I definitely recommend this and getting it from Amazon was a no-brainer. The same box at the local store was $19.99. I got it for half from Amazon with free shipping!

smooth

I write a lot with pens, and these are by far the best I have ever used. Perfect point for me, not too fine. Allows for bold strokes and the ink doesn't smudge or get messy. It's a pleasure to write with these!

Was given a sample of these pens. So happy to finally find a place to buy them. Very smooth writing and love the different colours.

I love these pens. They write smoothly and do not create blots of ink as some pens do.

I use pens for writing all my day and always suffer from different qualities in the market. Until I tried this pen. very good quality, easy to use and fast flow in hand writing..
