Do the windows and door open?

The doors open it is really lovely set my granddaughter loves playing with it for hours

What furniture and how many figures does this come with?

The house comes with 2 characters, 2 pets and all the furniture you would expect in a cosy cottage including beds, table and chairs and a kitchen.

Do you just yank it apart or is there a catch release somewhere?

It just opens up, no need to yank it open
